Patent number: 6453629Abstract: A roofing tile for performing solar-light power generation includes a roofing tile main body set tilted on a roof, and a photovoltaic module fixed to the main body. The roofing tile main body has a recess open upward. The photovoltaic module is stored and fixed in the recess. The roofing tile main body has an eaves-side edge portion. This edge portion has a plurality of drain ditches. Each drain ditch crosses the upper portion of the eaves-side edge portion and communicates with the recess. The level of the bottom surface of each drain ditch is equal to or lower than that of the bottom surface of the recess. With this construction, rainwater that has entered the recess is discharged through the drain ditches. Rainwater is drained by running the rainwater downward on the upper surface side of the eaves-side edge portion along the tilt direction of the roofing tile.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 2000Date of Patent: September 24, 2002Assignee: Kaneka CorporationInventors: Ichiro Nakazima, Teruki Hatsukaiwa, Fumihiro Tanigawa, Takuji Nomura, Isao Yoshida, Kazuhito Hirai

Patent number: 5302464Abstract: A closely adherent metal coating having a uniform thickness and substantially free from pinholes is formed on the porous surface of a bonded magnet to improve its oxidation and corrosion resistance without lowering its magnetic properties. The coating is formed by electroplating from an aqueous solution not containing chlorine, and having a pH of 5 or above. More particularly, the solution contains mainly nickel sulfate, an electrolyte in the form of an organic acid salt not containing chlorine, and a basic electrolyte not containing chlorine, and forms a nickel coating on the magnet surface.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 1992Date of Patent: April 12, 1994Assignee: Kanegafuchi Kagaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Takuji Nomura, Hiroshi Watanabe

Patent number: 4616964Abstract: At the top surface of a drill head, one or two tips are fixed radially with a little clearance from the axis of rotation, and thereby a nonmachining zone is formed around the axis of rotation. Each tip has its cutting edge formed projectingly from the radial line to a tangential direction and the distance from the axis of rotation to the cutting edge is made greater than the distance from the axis of rotation to an end face of the tip. The core which is generated and grows in the nonmachining zone in the course of machining is pressed by the end face of the tip and broken off, or is clamped between the end faces of the tips and wrenched off due to friction torque.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 1983Date of Patent: October 14, 1986Inventor: Takuji Nomura
