Abstract: A thread scheduler may be used in a chip multiprocessor or symmetric multiprocessor system to schedule threads to processors. The scheduler may determine the bandwidth utilization of the two threads in combination and whether that utilization exceeds the threshold value. If so, the threads may be scheduled on different processor clusters that do not have the same paths between the common memory and the processors. If not, then the threads may be allocated on the same processor cluster that shares cache among processors.

Abstract: A method for determining the viscosity of a medium with a Coriolis mass flowmeter, wherein the Coriolis mass flowmeter has at least two measuring tubes that medium can flow through and a measuring device, wherein the measuring device has at least two actuator assemblies, wherein a measuring tube plane is defined by the measuring tube central axis and wherein the actuator assemblies are arranged on both sides of the measuring tube plane and outside of the measuring tube plane. Elaborate constructional measures for the Coriolis mass flowmeter are avoided by the measuring tubes being excited with a measuring device to at least oppositely directed torsion oscillation (and optionally additionally to plane oscillation) with the actuator assemblies being alternately actuated with opposing effective directions so that at least the viscosity of the medium is determined by evaluation of values from the measuring device.

Abstract: Compounds having drug and bio-affecting properties, their pharmaceutical compositions and methods of use are set forth. In particular, diketo fused azolopiperidine and azolopiperazine derivatives of Formula I: that possess unique antiviral activity are provided. These compounds are useful for the treatment of HIV and AIDS.

Abstract: A startup protection circuit includes an initialization unit and a protection unit. The initialization unit generates a first level signal when initially receiving a supply voltage, which is larger than or equal to a predetermined voltage from a power source. The protection unit generates the first level signal when the supply voltage is smaller than the predetermined voltage. A processing unit is connected to the power source, and is initialized according to the first level signal. A related electronic device is also provided.

Abstract: An audio player includes a reading unit, a processing unit, a speaker, and a protection unit. The reading unit acquires an audio file stored in a memory. The processing unit processes the acquired audio file to generate an audio signal. The speaker reproduces the audio signal. The protection unit is connected between the processing unit and the speaker and is used for detecting temperature changes of the speaker. An internal resistance of the protection unit is automatically adjusted according to temperature changes of the speaker to adjust the current of the audio signal flowing from the processing unit to the speaker.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a processing unit for outputting a right channel audio signal and a left channel audio signal, and an interface circuit for generating a processed right channel audio signal and a processed left channel audio signal accordingly. The interface circuit includes two output units for electrically connecting two plugs of two speakers respectively. Each output unit includes a first pin, a second pin, and an anti-jam member. When a plug is inserted into the output unit, the first pin transmits the processed right channel audio signal to the plug, the second pin transmits the processed left channel audio signal to the plug, and the anti jam member is in an open state. When the plug is dependent from the output unit, the first pin is in series with the second pin by the anti jam member.

The amplifier is for amplifying audio signals and generating amplified audio signals accordingly. The amplifier includes an output port to output the amplified audio signals. The output unit is for emitting sounds corresponding to the amplified audio signals. The processing unit is for generating a mute control signal. The mute control circuit includes a main circuit and an auxiliary circuit. The main circuit is for responding to the mute control signal, and for driving the amplifier to change between a mute state and a play state accordingly. The auxiliary circuit is for enabling the output port of the amplifier to be electrically grounded at the moment of supplying power to the electronic device.

Abstract: A metal vanadium film is used as an extraction electrode contacting with a vanadium oxide or doped vanadium oxide film. The electrode material is adapted for a detector, sensor and optical switch based on a vanadium oxide or doped vanadium oxide film. The metal vanadium film is in favor of reducing the thermal conductivity of the support structure of the array unit. The preparation process of the vanadium film using the metal vanadium as the source material is more easily controlled than that of NiCr film using the NiCr alloy as the source material. The extraction electrode of the present invention easily obtains an excellent metal-semiconductor contact characteristic. The preparation process and patterning process of the metal vanadium film have an excellent technology compatibility with the IC and MEMS manufacturing processes.

Abstract: A hybrid vehicle includes a battery system, an internal combustion engine, a first motor/generator, a second motor/generator, and an engageable clutch assembly. The engageable clutch assembly is disposed between the internal combustion engine and the first motor/generator. When engaged, the engageable clutch assembly couples the rotor spindle of the second motor/generator with the hollow rotor shaft of the first motor/generator. The engageable clutch assembly may also operate in a first mechanical mode that selectively engages and disengages the internal combustion engine from the second motor/generator, or operate in a second mechanical mode that dampens shock between the internal combustion engine and the first motor/generator when the international combustion engine operates at a rotational speed that is different than a rotational of the first motor/generator.

Abstract: A foldable computing device with counterbalance member includes a main body, a rotary member, and a shaft. The rotary member is rotatably connected to the main body by the shaft. The main body, from top to bottom, includes a top cover, a printed circuit board, a counterbalance member and a bottom case. The counterbalance is configured to maintain contact with the printed circuit board and the bottom case. Electrostatic charges produced on the printed circuit board can be conducted to the bottom case through the counterbalance member, and then to ground.

Abstract: A self-collimator concave spectral shaping device for chirped-pulse-amplification (CPA): uses a spectrum decomposing system with CTSI construction, a spectrum synthesizing system with CTSI structure that is symmetrical to the decomposing structure, and a spectrum shaping system including an aperture and a planar reflector for spectrum shaping function design. The device accomplishes the following functions: firstly decomposing the spectrum of a chirped temporal pulse laser to a spectral domain; then shaping the spectrum in the spectral domain; finally synthesizing un-shiftily this shaped spectrum in the spectral domain into a temporal chirped pulse with a designed shape.

Abstract: The present invention provides a spiral cylinder-shaped discharge unit for an ozone generator, wherein the discharge unit comprises at least one ground electrode, at least one insulating layer and at least one high voltage electrode that are stacked together and integrally curled into a number of spiral cylinder-shaped coils, wherein the high voltage electrode and the ground electrode are separated by the insulating layer, and gaps are respectively present between the ground electrode and the insulating layer, and between the insulating layer and the high voltage electrode. The discharge unit is applicable to various kinds of ozone generator and can significantly improve ozone productivity of a single discharge unit and reduce manufacture cost.

The AV apparatus further includes: a first switch for generating first instructions; an output module for being externally connected to output the audio and video signals; and a control module connected to the first switch. The control module being configured for disabling the internal display and internal speaker at receiving the first instructions at a situation that the output module is externally connected to output the audio and video signals, and disabling the internal display while keeping the internal speaker enabled at receiving the first instruction at a situation that the output module is not externally connected. A method for controlling the audio and video apparatus is provided as well.

The first convertor is configured for receiving a first voltage from an external power supply and converting the first voltage into a second voltage. The controller is coupled to the first convertor for generating a start signal when receiving the second voltage. The second convertor is connected to the controller for receiving the first voltage, converting the first voltage into a third voltage to power an operating unit of the electronic device, and converting the first voltage into a fourth voltage to power the controller when receiving the start signal. The switching unit is coupled to the controller and the first convertor for disabling the first convertor when the controller receives the fourth voltage.
