  • Publication number: 20170128378
Abstract: Nanocrystals, compositions, and methods that aid particle transport in mucus are provided. In some embodiments, the compositions and methods involve making mucus-penetrating particles (MPP) without any polymeric carriers, or with minimal use of polymeric carriers. The compositions and methods may include, in some embodiments, modifying the surface coatings of particles formed of pharmaceutical agents that have a low water solubility. Such methods and compositions can be used to achieve efficient transport of particles of pharmaceutical agents though mucus barriers in the body for a wide spectrum of applications, including drug delivery, imaging, and diagnostic applications. In certain embodiments, a pharmaceutical composition including such particles is well-suited for administration routes involving the particles passing through a mucosal barrier.

  • Patent number: 9639425
Abstract: The present disclosure describes methods and apparatus for implementing a signature-based sleep recovery operation flow for booting a system-on-chip (SoC). When the SoC begins its normal boot flow, a controller retrieves a sleep recovery signature from a register and compares the retrieved sleep recovery signature to a default signature. If the sleep recovery signature matches the default signature, the SoC enters a ROM checksum fail debug flow and, upon satisfying the requirements of the ROM checksum fail debug flow, enters a sleep recovery boot flow, which restores the SoC to the operational state it was in prior to entering the sleep mode. If the sleep recovery signature does not match the default signature, the SoC continues with the normal boot flow or, by use of external pins, can be forced into a normal debug mode flow so that the boot code can be debugged.

  • Patent number: 9556221
Abstract: The present invention disclosed N-acetyl amino acid ester derivatives of betulin and the preparation method thereof, the method comprising the steps that in the presence of an alkaline substance, a catalyst and a racemization-inhibitor, the carboxyl group of N-acetyl amino acid is activated by a coupling agent; and then the activated N-acetyl amino acid is reacted with betulin via esterification reaction to obtain the N-acetyl amino acid ester derivative of betulin. The present invention provided a simple synthesis method to synthesize the N-acetyl amino acid ester derivatives of betulin by using betulin as a precursor compound and modifying the molecular structure of betulin. Such structural modification of betulin significantly enhances the anti-tumor activity of the betulin derivatives and therefore has important values.

  • Publication number: 20160275961
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards enhancing speech and noise reduction for audio signals. Each of a plurality of microphones may generate a plurality of audio signals based on sound sensed in a physical space. One of the plurality of audio signals may be designated as a primary channel and each other audio signal of the plurality of audio signals may be designated as secondary channels. Acoustic echo cancellation is performed on the primary channel to generate an echo canceled signal. Noise reduction (e.g., employing a multi-microphone beamformer) is performed on the primary channel and the secondary channels to generate a noise reduced signal. In various embodiments, the noise reduction is performed in parallel with the acoustic echo cancellation. An enhanced audio signal may be generated based on a combination of the echo canceled signal and the noise reduced signal.
