  • Patent number: 11242134
Abstract: Processes for real-time drag optimization control for aeroelastic wing structures are disclosed. Adaptive reconfiguration of aircraft control surfaces by an online real-time drag optimization control approach to reduce or minimize drag may reduce the amount of fuel that is consumed by the aircraft during flight. The input data may be obtained from sensor information pertaining to the wing deflection and aircraft state information. The optimization approach may compute an optimal solution of the distributed flight control surface deflections that are integrated in a flight path angle flight control system.

  • Publication number: 20210365445
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments are related to technologies for the provision of contact tracing services (CTS) in an affordable and non-intrusive means for individuals to check in and check out of gathering places so that their contact information can be stored and made available to contact tracers. A gathering place operator scans a machine-readable element (MRE) of a contact tracing participant that enters or exits the gathering place. The MRE encodes a unique identifier (UID) generated by the CTS for the participant, and the scan captures the UID along with a location and a timestamp at entry or exit of the gathering place. The UID, location, and timestamp are provided to the CTS for storage in a contact tracing database, which is used for providing contact tracing information to contact tracers. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

  • Patent number: 11183441
Abstract: The disclosed principles provide a stress buffer layer between an IC die and heat spreader used to dissipate heat from the die. The stress buffer layer comprises distributed pairs of conductive pads and a corresponding set of conductive posts formed on the conductive pads. In one embodiment, the stress buffer layer may comprise conductive pads laterally distributed over non-electrically conducting surfaces of an embedded IC die to thermally conduct heat from the IC die. In addition, such a stress buffer layer may comprise conductive posts laterally distributed and formed directly on each of the conductive pads. Each of the conductive posts thermally conduct heat from respective conductive pads. In addition, each conductive post may have a lateral width less than a lateral width of its corresponding conductive pad. A heat spreader is then formed over the conductive posts which thermally conducts heat from the conductive posts through the heat spreader.

  • Publication number: 20210279427
Abstract: A method and system for automated voice casting compares candidate voices samples from candidate speakers in a target language with a primary voice sample from a primary speaker in a primary language. Utterances in the audio samples of the candidates speakers and the primary speaker are identified and typed and voice samples generated that meet applicable utterance type criteria. A neural network is used to generate an embedding for the voice samples. A voice sample can include groups of different utterance types and embeddings generated for each utterance group in the voice sample and then combined in a weighted form wherein the resulting embedding emphasizes selected utterance types. Similarities between embeddings for the candidate voice samples relative to the primary voice sample are evaluated and used to select a candidate speaker that is a vocal match.
