  • Publication number: 20220175532
Abstract: According to an aspect, an inflatable penile prosthesis includes a reservoir configured to hold fluid, an inflatable member, and a pump assembly configured to facilitate a transfer of a fluid from the reservoir to the inflatable member. The pump assembly includes a pump bulb, and a valve body defining a fluid passageway. The valve body includes a refill valve disposed in the fluid passageway. The refill valve includes a valve member. In response to the pump bulb being compressed, the valve member moves within the fluid passageway in a first direction to a closed position in which the valve member blocks the fluid from being transferred around the refill valve. In response to the pump bulb being uncompressed, the valve member moves within the fluid passageway in a second direction to an open position in which the valve member allows the fluid to transfer around the refill valve.

  • Publication number: 20220161858
Abstract: A side-impact crash structure may be positioned proximate an end of a vehicle to reduce impact forces imparted to an occupant during a side collision. The side-impact crash structure may include energy absorbers positioned on lateral sides of the vehicle between the passenger compartment and a longitudinal end of the vehicle. The energy absorbers may be configured to absorb impact forces over a limited ride-down distance (the distance over which the deceleration occurs) to prevent damage to both the occupants and one or more components or systems of the vehicle. The energy absorbers can be configured to deform along an oblique axis of the vehicle under a compressive force. The side-impact crash structure may include one or more load spreaders disposed between the energy absorbers that disperse the impact force to other portions of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20220159370
Abstract: A filter that may increase and extend, the bass frequency response of a speaker of an audio device. The filter may be space-efficient. The filter may be part of a device that does not necessarily have a large rear cavity and that does not necessarily have porting and/or passive radiating. The low-frequency extension filter may be used, for example, with a smaller rear cavity while essentially simulating the acoustic effects of a much larger rear cavity. The low-frequency extension filter may include a plurality of acoustic pathways, such as tubes, which may wind around along a tortuous path and which may resemble a labyrinthine design. The tubes may be selected to resonate with particular predetermined low frequency channels. For example, the tubes may be approximately a quarter wavelength of the center of the corresponding frequency channel, or even slightly shorter.

  • Patent number: 11289200
Abstract: In some examples, authorized user profiles and generic models are generated using historical interaction data of authorized users. The authorized user profiles provide an experience profile for authorized users. The generic models are data models used to model authorized user actions. The authorized user profiles and generic models are used to generate support elements. The support elements are presented to authorized users and feedback is collected. Based on the feedback, the authorized user profiles and generic models are updated.

  • Publication number: 20220095068
Abstract: Improved algorithm techniques may be used for superior operation of haptic-based systems. An eigensystem may be used to determine for a given spatial distribution of control points with specified output the set of wave phases that are the most efficiently realizable. Reconstructing a modulated pressure field may use emitters firing at different frequencies. An acoustic phased-array device uses a comprehensive reflexive simulation technique. There may be an exchange of information between the users and the transducer control processors having the ability to use that information for optimal haptic generation shadows and the like. Applying mid-air haptic sensations to objects of arbitrary 3D geometry requires that sensation of the object on the users hand is as close as possible to a realistic depiction of that object. Ultrasonic haptics with multiple and/or large aperture arrays have high-frequency update rates required by the spatio-temporal modulation.

  • Patent number: 11276293
Abstract: In some examples, systems, methods, and devices are described that generate contextual suggestions for patients. Generation of the contextual suggestions is triggered by certain events performed by a medical professional with respect to a patient (e.g., updating a patient record). The contextual suggestions are related to addressing health conditions of the patient and represent tasks or considerations which the medical professional should be made aware. The contextual suggestions are generated in a way that is considerate of patient context, medical professional context, and contexts of similar patients. The contextual suggestions can be presented to the medical professional for selection and execution.

  • Patent number: 11276281
Abstract: A system providing various improved processing techniques for haptic feedback is described. An acoustic field is defined by one or more control points in a space within which the acoustic field may exist. Each control point is assigned an amplitude value equating to a desired amplitude of the acoustic field at the control point. Transducers are then controlled to create an acoustic field exhibiting the desired amplitude at each of the control points. When human skin interacts with the acoustic field, vibrations of the skin are interpreted by mechanoreceptors being excited and sending signals to the brain via the nervous system. Improved processing techniques allow for more efficient real-world operation.

  • Publication number: 20220066779
Abstract: Obsoleting values stored in registers in a processor based on processing obsolescent register-encoded instructions is disclosed. The processor is configured to support execution of read and/or write instructions that include obsolescence encoding indicating that one or more of its source and/or target register operands are to be obsoleted by the processor. A register encoded as obsolescent means the data value stored in such register will not be used by subsequent instructions in an instruction stream, and thus does not need to be retained. Thus, such register can be set as being in an obsolescent state so that the data value stored in such register can be ignored to improve performance. As one example, data values for registers having an obsolescent state can be ignored and thus not stored in a saved context for a process being switched out, thus conserving memory and improving processing time for a process switch.
