  • Patent number: 9563633
Abstract: Trimming unused blocks from a versioned image backup of a source storage that is stored in a sparse storage. In one example embodiment, a method may include identifying a versioned image backup of a source storage that is stored in a sparse storage. The method may further include deleting the first version of the versioned image backup from the sparse storage during a retention process, identifying a first set of blocks, identifying a second set of blocks, determining a third set of blocks that are included in the second set of blocks but are not included in the first set of blocks, and, after the retention process, trimming the third set of blocks from the second version of the versioned image backup that is stored in the sparse storage.

  • Patent number: 9521781
Abstract: A power component device includes a heat sink having a recess with a base surface and a first side surface. The first side surface of the recess is at a generally acute angle relative to the base surface. The power component device includes a first passive electrical component with a support element, having a first side surface which faces the first side surface of the recess, and is at generally the same angle relative to the base surface as the first side surface of the recess is relative to the base surface. A pressure transmission element has a first side surface which is averted from the first side surface of the support element. The base surface is at a generally acute angle relative to the first pressure transmission element side surface. A pressure generating apparatus presses the support element against the first side surface of the recess.

  • Publication number: 20160236205
Abstract: A gas treatment includes: a gas scrubber chamber operable to receive an effluent gas stream originating from a manufacturing process tool to be scrubbed therewithin to provide a scrubbed gas stream; and an electrostatic precipitation chamber operable to receive the scrubbed gas stream to be treated therewithin to provide a treated gas stream, one of the gas scrubber chamber and the electrostatic precipitation chamber defining a first chamber and another of the gas scrubber chamber and the electrostatic precipitation chamber defining a second chamber, the first chamber being configured to surround the second chamber. In this way, the first chamber and the second chamber can share the same volume.

  • Publication number: 20160230118
Abstract: Lubrication compositions comprising from about 80% to about 99.9% of a synthetic ester lubricant; and from about 0.1% to about 8% of a polyalkyl methacrylate mist suppressant. The synthetic ester lubricant may be an adipate ester lubricant, which may be a ditridecyl adipate, a phthalate ester lubricants, such as diisononyl phthalates and ditridecyl phthalates, or mixtures thereof. The compositions may also comprise a highly branched isoparaffinic polyalphaolefin lubricant. The lubricating compositions may also comprise one or more additives.

  • Publication number: 20160194058
Abstract: To make secondary anchoring of small boats quick, safe, versatile, a low cost buoyant apparatus with an attached tripping strap has been invented to permit transport of a secondary anchor to its holding location. The invention, in addition serves to prevent excessive boat swings once anchored in restricted anchorage, and can also serve as a marker in the event that an earlier anchored boat needs to move and return to the same spot. This buoyant apparatus is very versatile; it can be used from the boat's bow, from the stern, and also as a lunch hook. Although the buoyant ring has an appearance of a life preserver, it is not intended for that use, and does not qualify as U.S. Coast Guard or Sheriff Regulation safety equipment.

  • Patent number: 9286418
Abstract: A method for designing an acoustic array includes establishing a desired beam pattern, acoustic wavelength and beamwidth for the array. Geometric parameters are calculated from these constraints. The array is modeled as a plurality of elements positioned in accordance with the geometric parameters. An amplitude shading function is calculated. An array of acoustic elements is constructed having an area calculated from the calculated amplitude shading function. An acoustic array designed by this process is further provided.

  • Patent number: 9268124
Abstract: A microscope includes an illumination unit for illuminating a mask at a predetermined non-axial illumination angle, an imaging unit for imaging an aerial image of the mask within a predetermined defocus region, and an imaging field stop, in which as a result of the lateral displacement of the aerial image depending on the position within the defocus region and on the non-axial illumination angle, the opening of the imaging field stop is dimensioned such that the aerial image is either completely encompassed or circumferentially cut within the defocus region. A method for characterizing a mask having a structure includes illuminating the mask at at least one illumination angle using monochromatic illumination radiation such that a diffraction image of the structure is created, recording the diffraction image, establishing the intensities of the maxima of the adjacent orders of diffraction, and establishing an intensity ratio of the intensities.
