Abstract: Data transformation and access generation for data sets is provided herein. Access generation for a data set can include generating one or more new access modes for the data set. An access mode can include a transformed data set and one or more search definitions or a search model for the transformed data set. Transforming the data set can include transforming a linear data set to a relational data set by determining structural information for the linear data, generating a relational schema based on the structural information, and loading data from the linear data set into the generated relational data structure. Transforming the data set can include sanitizing the data, restructuring the relational data set based on functional dependencies, and reformatting the data set. One or more search definitions can be generated for the relational data. A search model can be generated based on the search definitions.

Abstract: A digital broadcast receiver includes a first receiving module tunable to a foreground broadcast service to extract a program information, a first decoder module coupled to the first receiving module and decoding the program information, an output module switchably coupled to the first decoder module and adapted to output the program information, at least one second decoder module coupled to the first receiving module and tunable to a background broadcast service to decode a program information associated with the background broadcast service, and a control unit adapted to tune the first receiving module and the first decoder module to the foreground broadcast service and to tune each of the at least one second decoder modules to a background broadcast service. The control unit determines the foreground broadcast service based on a user input and determines the background broadcast services based on the foreground broadcast service and a predefined rule.

Abstract: Crux detection in search definition sets is provided herein. Crux detection can include generating a hierarchical representation of a search definition set. The hierarchical representation can be reduced by removing search definitions unrelated to a target search definition. The search definitions in the reduced hierarchical representation can be focused by removing inapplicable elements or operations in the search definitions. Focusing the search definitions in the reduced hierarchical representation can include removing context-irrelevant elements and/or removing search-definition-irrelevant elements. The focused reduced hierarchical representation can be analyzed to identify implementation cruxes in the search definitions. Cruxes can include performance-impacting elements of the search definitions. The cruxes can be tagged and provided for redevelopment or analysis.
