    Abstract: Disclosed is a microfluidic chip and method using the same. The microfluidic chip comprises a substrate having a surface, and at least a tissue culture area formed on the surface of the substrate. The tissue culture area has a microfluidic channel formed by a plurality of connected geometrical structures (nozzle-type channels) having a predetermined depth. The microfluidic channel has an inlet and an outlet, which are at two ends of the microfluidic channel, for medium inputting and outputting, respectively. Additionally, at least an air-exchange hole is formed on the bottom of the microfluidic channel. By using the microfluidic chip for tissue culture, lateral flow speed and stress can be decreased, so as to prolong survival time of tissues (e.g. liver tissues).

    Abstract: A method for fabricating a high voltage semiconductor device is provided. Firstly, a substrate is provided, wherein the substrate has a first active zone and a second active zone. Then, a first ion implantation process is performed to dope the substrate by a first mask layer, thereby forming a first-polarity doped region at the two ends of the first active zone and a periphery of the second active zone. After the first mask layer is removed, a second ion implantation process is performed to dope the substrate by a second mask layer, thereby forming a second-polarity doped region at the two ends of the second active zone and a periphery of the first active zone. After the second mask layer is removed, a first gate conductor structure and a second gate conductor structure are formed over the middle segments of the first active zone and the second active zone, respectively.

The detection circuit, coupled to the coupling terminal of the clamp circuit and the second rail line, outputs a detection signal in response to the first coupling potential. The control circuit, coupled to the first and second rail lines, the detection circuit and the clamp circuit, outputs a conduction signal to a control terminal of the clamp circuit in response to the detection signal. The clamp circuit is conducted in response to the conduction signal so that ESD between the first and second rail lines is performed through the clamp circuit.

Each of the function buttons is controlled to enter a main function when it has been pressed more than a threshold time or to perform a first action when it has been pressed less than the threshold time. The control module is connected to the multiple function buttons to determine whether any of the function buttons has been pressed more than the threshold time. The LCD display is connected to the control module to show operating information. A user of the UPS can directly choose a main function by long pressing the corresponding function button, and then further select to a particular sub-function by shortly clicking the function buttons.

    Abstract: A power-saving line interactive UPS has a power switch set, a low-frequency transformer, a full-bridge circuit, a main controller, a charge and discharge mode controller, a rechargeable battery and a high-frequency charging circuit. The high-frequency circuit is connected between an AC power input terminal and the rechargeable battery to convert the AC power into a DC power and charge the rechargeable battery. Therefore, when the AC power is normally supplied and the power capacity of the rechargeable battery is not full, the high-frequency charging circuit is activated to charge the rechargeable battery without charging the rechargeable battery through the low-frequency transformer and the full-bridge switching circuit, thereby effectively reducing overall power consumption.
