  • Patent number: 11651283
Abstract: An approach is described for a method, product, and apparatus for a machine learning process using dynamic rearrangement of sparse data and corresponding weights. This approach includes a method, product, and apparatus for dynamically rearranging input data to move sparse data to a location such that computations on the sparse data might be avoided when executing a machine learning processing job. For example, sparse data within each row of the input matrix can be moved to the end of each corresponding row. When the input data is folded to fit the array, that sparse data might be at least partially contained within a fold that comprises only sparse data and possibly filler data. In such an event, computations on the fold are unnecessary and are avoided. In some embodiments, the approach includes dynamically rearranging a weight matrix to maintain a correspondence between the input data and the weights.

  • Publication number: 20230133026
Abstract: Implementations are described herein for performing depth estimation in the agricultural domain, including generating synthetic training data. In various implementations, one or more three-dimensional synthetic plants may be generated in in a three-dimensional space, wherein the one or more three-dimensional synthetic plants include homogenous and densely-distributed synthetic plant parts. The plurality of three-dimensional synthetic plants may be projected onto two-dimensional planes from first and second perspectives in the three-dimensional space to form a pair of synthetic stereoscopic images. The first and second synthetic stereoscopic images of the pair may be annotated to create a mapping between the individual synthetic plant parts across the first synthetic stereoscopic images. A feature matching machine learning model may be trained based on the mapping.

  • Publication number: 20230109575
Abstract: A power supply apparatus comprising a power input portion, a rectifying portion, a power conversion portion, a power output portion and an electrical filter is disclosed. The electrical filter is connected intermediate the rectifying portion and the power output portion for reduction of switching noise generated during power switching operations of the power switching circuitry. With such an arrangement, the electrical filter operates in the DC portion of the apparatus and power loss is significantly reduced while switching noise is suppressed nearer the source compared to conventional arrangement. In addition, switching noises due to stray or parasitic capacitance to the metal casing when the power supply is enclosed in a metallic casing to form a power supply module are also mitigated nearer the source.

  • Patent number: 11622281
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) includes a first communication component configured to use a first frequency band, such as ultra-wide band (UWB), and a second communication component configured to use an intermediate frequency (IF) band that overlaps with the UWB band, such as an IF millimeter wave (mmWave) band. The second communication component conducts an IF signal along an internal signal conduction line that may interfere with UWB processing. A processor of the UE is configured to detect an indication of such interference, and, in response to the indication of interference, control the second communication component to adjust a characteristic of the IF band signal to mitigate the interference, such as by reducing its signal strength. The amount by which the IF band signal strength is reduced may be controlled to achieve a desired tradeoff between various performance metrics, such as power consumption and quality of service.

  • Patent number: 11615320
Abstract: An approach includes identification of a machine learning model for processing and generating an ordered set of weights with varying precisions and metadata that specifies where those values can be found in order to allow the identification of weights needed during processing. In a first embodiment, the variable precision weights are separated into different memory segments where each segment has weights of only a single precision. In a second embodiment, the variable precision weights are provided in a memory where weights of different precisions are intermingled, and those weights are identified using a sequence of pairs of data representing a number of weights with the same precision and the precision of those weights. In some embodiments, both the first and second embodiments are combined, where some segments contain weights with only a single precision and at least one segment stores weights with different precisions within a respective segment.

  • Publication number: 20230092676
Abstract: Implementations set forth herein relate to subjecting a message to a group rule that causes any message, in a message thread that includes the message, to include certain addresses, regardless of the addresses that are incorporated, by a user, into an address field of a reply message. The group rule can reduce a number of messages that are not provided to a group of intended recipients because of message originators omitting the intended recipients on important messages. Furthermore, this can reduce a number of messages that are sent to compensate for certain reply messages not being received by all intended recipients. A group rule can be modified by any recipient that does not desire to be included in the group rule, and a group rule can expire when one or more conditions are satisfied, thereby causing certain messages to no longer be subject to the group rule.
