  • Patent number: 7169136
Abstract: A pull-on disposable diaper is composed of a front waist region, a rear waist region, a crotch region extending between these waist regions and a body fluid absorbing component formed on an inner side of these regions. The absorbing component is formed in the crotch region with a V-shaped first folding guide, a V-shaped second folding guide and a third folding guide extending in a transverse direction between the first and second folding guides. The absorbing component is folded along the third folding guide so that a core forming a part of the component may have its outer surface sections facing each other and along the first and second folding guides so that the core may have its inner surface sections facing each other.

  • Patent number: 7156831
Abstract: A disposable pull-on undergarment includes a pair of leg-openings provided with elastic members. Each of the elastic members extends along a peripheral edge of the leg-openings and is spaced outward from each of transversely opposite side edges of the core by a distance which is larger in any one of the front and rear waist regions than the other of them as measured in a substantially middle zone of a crotch region. Along a folding line Y extending in the transverse direction to divide the undergarment in upper and lower halves, the undergarment is folded toward any one of the front and rear waist regions in which the distance is relatively large.

  • Publication number: 20060282054
Abstract: A pull-on disposable wearing article has a base sheet including an inner sheet and an outer sheet. A plurality of auxiliary elastic members extending across a panel are interposed between the inner sheet and the outer sheet and attached to these sheets between waist surrounding elastic members and leg-holes so that these auxiliary elastic members may contract in the waist-circumferential direction. Each of the auxiliary elastic members has transversely opposite end portions secured to the inner and outer sheets and an intermediate portion not directly bonded to the inner and outer sheets.

  • Publication number: 20060282058
Abstract: A disposable pull-on wearing article has its waist region divided into a front section and a rear section and connector sheets 21 adapted to connect these two sections together. Each of the connector sheets has joint zones to be joined to the front section and the rear section, respectively, and a non-joint zone interposed between the joint zones so as to define a tear-apart line extending in vertical direction along which the article is torn apart. The non-joint zone has a tensile strength of at least 8N in the waist-surrounding direction and a tear strength in a range of 0.1 to 12N also in the waist-surrounding direction.

  • Patent number: 7112189
Abstract: A pants-type disposable wearing article includes a liquid-pervious topsheet, a liquid-impervious backsheet, a liquid-absorbent panel interposed between these sheets and a liquid-impervious outer sheet lying on the outer side of the backsheet, and having a waist-hole and leg-holes. This article has a first folding guide formed in left half of the crotch region, a second folding guide formed in right half of the crotch region and third folding guides transversely extending between the first and second folding guides so that first and second regions of the crotch region are folded along the first and second folding guides so as to be tucked toward inner sides of the respective leg-holes and the third region of the crotch region is folded along the third folding guides so as to be tucked toward the waist-hole.

  • Patent number: 7112193
Abstract: A disposable diaper includes a backsheet comprising an elastic inner layer and an inelastic outer layer. The elastic inner layer, in a transversely stretched state, is joined to the inelastic outer layer at a plurality of intermittently disposed spots. The spots are lined up to form a series of imaginary lines disposed on a bias between the longitudinal and transverse directions of the disposable diaper. In each of areas between the spots, defined by a plurality of intersecting imaginary lines that pass through a plurality of the spots that are closely arranged in succession, the inelastic outer layer is free to separate from the elastic inner layer upon contraction (relaxation) of the elastic inner layer, and thereupon the outer layer forms a plurality of longitudinal pleats. The pleats, formed by relaxing the transversely stretched inner layer, are disposed in a direction that is substantially normal to the direction of stretching.

  • Publication number: 20060212019
Abstract: A disposable pull-on type wearing article has a front waist region and a rear waist region which are overlapped with each other along side edges thereof and integrated together at sealing spots so as to form lateral waist zones. A surface to come in contact with the wearer's skin in the respective lateral waist zones is provided with cover sheets each bonded to the front and rear waist regions so as to cross a border line between these front and rear waist region. Such an arrangement prevents the sealing spots from coming in contact with the wearer's skin.

  • Patent number: 7060058
Abstract: A disposable pants-type diaper includes a front waist region sheet, a rear waist region sheet and a body fluid absorbent pad. The front and rear waist region sheets are bonded together in the vicinity of transversely opposite side edges thereof and the pad is curved in a U-shape and has longitudinally opposite ends bonded to the inner side of the front and rear waist region sheets. Periphery of a lower edge of the front waist region sheet draws a curve which is convex upward and this-lower edge intersects transversely opposite side edges of the pad to define tops of a pair of leg-holes. A first elastic member extending along the lower edge of the front waist region sheet intersects third elastic members of the pad in the vicinity of the tops and then descend rearward of the diaper.

  • Publication number: 20060105075
Abstract: Here is disclosed a liquid-absorbent material molding drum for making liquid-absorbent materials to be incorporated in disposable diapers or the like. A molding depression is formed on its bottom with a plurality of protrusions each protruding outward in a diametrical direction of the drum and being relatively long in a circumferential direction of the drum. These protrusions are continuously arranged in the circumferential direction but distanced one from another by a predetermined dimension in an axial direction of the drum.

  • Patent number: 7028841
Abstract: A package assembly includes a package and a plurality of disposable diapers. These diapers are compactly packed in a state of compression with the front and rear regions placed against one another in a back-and-forth direction. The diapers include first diapers that have the waist-surrounding end portions lying on the side of a top surface of package and second diapers that have the waist-surrounding end portions lying on the side of a bottom surface of the package. Both lateral portions of the crotch regions' bottom of the first and second diapers are folded inwardly of the respective diapers. In a row G formed by the diapers placed against one another in the back-and-forth direction, the number of the first diapers and the number of the second diapers are substantially equal to each other.
