    Abstract: It is revealed that an organ such as pancreas can be regenerated by utilizing a fact that the deficiency of an organ is complemented by injecting an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPS cell) into a developed blastocyst in a blastocyst complementation method. Thus, the present invention has solved the above-described object. This provides a method for producing a target organ, using an iPS cell, in a living body of a non-human mammal having an abnormality associated with a lack of development of the target organ in a development stage, the target organ produced being derived from a different individual mammal that is an individual different from the non-human mammal.

    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a method which constantly enables organ regeneration for the purpose of achieving organ regeneration with higher efficiency. It has been discovered that, in a blastocyst complementation method, a next generation is born when a deficiency in an organ, such as pancreas and kidney, is complemented by injection of ES cells into a generated blastocyst, and further discovered that a transgenic animal having a pancreas or a kidney thus complemented can transmit the phenotype to the next generation as a founder. This discovery has revealed that organ regeneration can be accomplished by using such a founder. Thus, the present invention achieved the above-described object.

    Abstract: To provide a storage water heater capable of increasing thermal efficiency and quickly boiling when tap water is supplied into a hot-water tank. A storage water heater can heat low-temperature water having a high density because hot water in a hot-water tank is led from a lead-in pipe positioned at the bottom of the hot-water tank to a gas heater. Also, a water supply pipe outlet and a lead-in pipe inlet are provided so as to be opposed to each other on the same axis. Therefore, when tap water is supplied from a water supply pipe, the tap water lower in temperature than the hot water in the hot-water tank is preferentially led to the gas heater. With this, hot water at the lowest temperature in the hot-water tank can be selectively heated, thereby increasing thermal efficiency.

    Abstract: A fryer is set up in a cooking area of a restaurant or the like for use, and allows a standby temperature of cooking oil to be switched according to congestion of customers in a hall of the restaurant. The congestion of customers is evaluated by counting per unit time the count of an entrance switch when a customer enters the hall. When the count number per unit time is equal to or greater than a predetermined count, the oil temperature in a oil vessel of the fryer is set at a standby temperature T1 (degrees Celsius) allowing food materials to be quickly heated or fried. On the other hand, if the count is smaller than p1 times, the oil temperature is set at a standby temperature T2 (degrees Celsius) which is lower than the standby temperature T1 thereby conserving energy.

The combustion gas flows into plural combustion gas routes sectioned into spiral shape, and hits trivet claws 22, and goes through. That is, the combustion gas is guided in spiral shape by the trivet claws 22, and exhausted along a cooking container P bottom surface toward the outer circumferential direction. As a result, in the combustion gas route, the combustion gas is always subject to direction changing force and the flow thereof is disturbed, and accordingly, a heat transmission border film is unlikely to be formed on the cooking container P bottom surface, and the heat of the combustion gas is transmitted to the bottom surface of the cooking container P preferably.

    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to produce a mammalian organ having a complicated cellular composition composed of multiple kinds of cells, such as kidney, pancreas, thymus and hair, in the living body of a non-human animal. The inventors of the present invention applied the chimeric animal assay described above, to a novel solid organ production method. More specifically, the inventors has shown that a model mouse which is deficient of kidney, pancreas, thymus or hair due to the dysfunction of the metanephric mesenchyme that is differentiated into most of an adult kidney, is rescued by blastocyst complementation by the chimeric animal assay, and whereby a kidney, a pancreas, thymus or hair can be newly produced.

    Abstract: A hot water apparatus is provided in which heat recovery is performed as much as possible allowing condensate to be generated and excellent heat efficiency is achieved without providing a plurality of heat exchangers by effectively evaporating generated condensate. In a water heater 1, the condensate evaporator 11 is disposed inclining so that its side facing the high temperature portion of the heat exchanger 10 is at a lower position. The generated condensate drops on the condensate receiver guiding portion 28, and moves by its own weight to the side facing the high temperature portion. Then the condensate is heated and evaporated. In this evaporation, the same amount of heat as that of recovered latent heat is discharged to the exhaust gas, however, sensible heat can be recovered as much as possible without limiting condensate generation in the heat exchanger 10.
