  • Patent number: 5342831
Abstract: An epitheliocyte growth accelerator containing a hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) as the active ingredient. In the present invention, the HGF maybe derived from human tissues, animal tissues, or blood components, or it may be produced genetic engineering. In this regard, the host cell to be used in the genetic engineering may be selected from among Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, yeasts, filamentous fungi, plant cells and animal cells. The epitheliocyte growth accelerator of the present invention specifically accelerates growth of normal epitheliocytes, and improves cell motility. The epitheliocyte growth accelerate of the present invention does not have fibroblast growing activity or canceration accelerating activity.

  • Patent number: 5325650
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling the traveling of a mower comprising means for detecting the conveying state of cut grass in a shooter, and means for decelerating the traveling speed of the working machine while continuing the mowing work by the cutter and the feeding of an air flow to the shooter if the conveying state is more degraded than a jam prevention judgment criterion on the basis of the detection signal of the conveying state detector means. The conveying state of grass in the shooter is detected based on the density or amount of cut grass passing through the shooter per unit time, and the mower is decelerated while maintaining the rotation of the cutter blade for mowing and/or the feeding of the air flow into the shooter if the density exceeds a predetermined threshold value. A threshold value can be adjusted according to the condition of the grass to be cut; for example, high, degree of overgrowth, degree of dry or wet of the grass.

  • Patent number: 5321939
Abstract: A transmission type light sensor is disposed in the vicinity of the exit of a shooter, which has the exit thereof positioned above a grass-bag opening, and the fullness of the grass-bag is detected when the light blocking state of the sensor continues longer than a predetermined time. A light emitting portion and a light receiving portion of the light sensor are positioned opposite to each other so that their optical axes are in coincidence, and they are firmly attached to both ends of a light sensor mounting member. The light sensor consists of a light sensor main body which is placed at one side of a cover, and a retroreflective board placed at the side of the cover opposite to the light sensor main body for reflecting incident light from the light emitting portion in the direction of incidence.

  • Patent number: 5260770
Abstract: In a system for detecting a relative position of an observation spot and reference points fixed around the observation spot, a central axis of mirror rotation is precessed to draw a substantially conical locus so that a light beam is vertically vibrated, the azimuth of the rotative scanning direction and the precessional angle are stored when the light beam reflected by a light reflector at the reference point is detected, then the projection direction of the light beam is fixed at the detected rotative scanning and precession angles, the distance between the observation spot and the light reflector is measured on the basis of the detected signals, and the positions of the light reflectors with respect to the observation spot are calculated on the basis of the measured distances and azimuths.

Abstract: A position detection system for a moving body comprising means for rotatively scanning the light beam projected from a light beam generator mounted on the moving body in a substantially horizontal plane, and vibrating to vertically vibrate the rotatively scanned light beam in a cycle two times or more longer than the cycle of the rotative scan. The light beam projected from the moving body and reflected by the retroreflector means provided at at least three positions spaced apart from the moving body is received by a light beam receiver on the moving body, and the position of the moving body is detected on the basis of the directions of the light reception and the known positional information on the retroreflector means.

  • Patent number: 5170350
Abstract: A steering control system wherein a light receiving means rotating integrally with a light scanning means is mounted on a moving vehicle, and a light beam is scanned around the moving vehicle in the circumferential direction and the light beams reflected by at least three light reflecting means are sequentially detected by the light receiving means to detect the position of the moving vehicle on the basis of the reflected light beams so as to travel the vehicle along a predetermined traveling course. The reference direction of a photosensor used for the light beam scanning is maintained between predetermined adjoining two light reflecting means and the steering control is performed in dependance upon the positional information of the moving vehicle calculated on the basis of the detected azimuths of the reflected light beams if the number of reflected light beams detected during one revolution of the light beam is equal to the number of the disposed light reflecting means.
