  • Publication number: 20060087821
Abstract: A circuit board includes: an input terminal for inputting a signal from an external circuit; a first land and a second land; and an electrostatic-charge absorbing conductor for absorbing an electrostatic charge. The first land is electrically connected to the input terminal. The second land is separated from the first land by a predetermined distance therebetween. A distance between the electrostatic-charge absorbing conductor and the first land is shorter than a distance between the first land and the second land. In the circuit board, the electrostatic charge is effectively absorbed into the electrostatic-charge absorbing conductor through the first land so that the electrostatic charge is prevented from negatively affecting on electric parts on the board.

  • Patent number: 6748166
Abstract: A lens-barrel and a camera system including the lens-barrel are in an automatic focus mode in which a focusing unit is automatically driven by an automatic focus unit, during a time when a manual operation member is not operated. When the manual operation member is operated in a second direction, switching is done to a manual focus mode achieving focus by operation of the manual operation member in the second direction. However, when detecting the operation of the manual operation member in the second direction during a zoom operation in which the manual operation member is being operated in a first direction, switching is done to the automatic focus mode without being switched to the manual focus mode. Therefore, unintentional switching from the automatic focus mode to the manual focus mode during the zoom operation can be reliably prevented.

  • Publication number: 20030136740
Abstract: Waste water to be treated is introduced into a first electrolytic bath, and then, hydroxide iron particles are supplied into the waste water through the electrolysis reaction at iron electrodes. Impurities such as organic compounds, phosphoric compounds, persistent compounds and the like are physically absorbed onto the hydroxide iron particles. Then, the hydroxide iron particles (flocks) with absorbed impurities are discharged via a drain valve, to purify the waste water to some degree. The waste water is introduced into a second electrolytic bath with a water pump. In the second electrolytic bath, the remnant impurities in the waste water are chemically dissolved and removed through the oxidation reduction reaction between the surfaces of metallic oxide electrodes and the waste water.
