  • Patent number: 5155286
Abstract: A motif performing apparatus for use in an electronic musical instrument, which effects an automatic performance of a motif only while sounds are being radiated. The motif performing apparatus is able to store information representing motifs to be played, and to read and output information representing each of the motifs, separately, while instruction units for instructing a radiation of musical sounds are operated. Accordingly, even if the operation of an instruction unit is unchanged, the performance is varied according to a pattern of the information. Further, as long as the instruction unit is operated, a plurality of musical sounds are generated automatically and sequentially according to the pattern of the information, and thus a performance can be easily effected.

  • Patent number: 5127305
Abstract: A musical performance data reproduction appparatus for reproducing stored performance data compensated with a just-beat function. A clock generator generates a clock proportional to a given tempo. A clock counter counts the clock to output incremental clock data. A clock converter converts the incremental clock data into reproduction clock data with a nonuniform increasing rate. The performance data is then reproduced based on the nonuniform reproduction clock data and a time base of the reproduced performance data is expanded/compressed so that reproduced tones are just-beated with respect to a reference beat time.

  • Patent number: 5043613
Abstract: A built-up stepping motor includes upper and lower housings each having an internal space and joined together with a support plate disposed therebetween. The lower housing retains therein a stator and a rotor disposed in the stator, while the upper housing holds therein a reduction gear for reducing the output speed of the motor. The output end of a rotor shaft extends through the support plate and meshes with a first gear of the reduction gear. The upper and lower housings are assembled together by interlocking engagement between locking projections and mating holes. A shock-absorbing damper is disposed between two stator cores to protect them against chattering.

  • Patent number: 4991380
Abstract: Apparatus for feeding and withdrawing a support member for a fusing operation of film end portions in film packaging is described wherein sheet member is interspersed between the support member and the film in the fusion position. The sheet member is normally out of contact with the support member until the support member is moved into the fusion position. When the support member is moved from the fusion position back to the normal position, the sheet member prevents the support member from entering into frictional engagement with the film. The sheet member may be arranged on both the front and rear surfaces of the support member so that damage is avoided due to direct contact between the support member and both the film and the article being packaged.

  • Patent number: 4986159
Abstract: A digital electronic musical instrument for synthesizing a musical waveform by computing high harmonics. The musical instrument includes a musical waveform generator, an overflow detection circuit and a data selection circuit. A musical waveform is preferably added at an adder which outputs an added musical waveform. This output added musical waveform is checked to determine if an overflow condition occurs. A data selection circuit receives the added musical waveform and establishes level limited data and non level limited data. The data selection circuit selects the level limited data upon occurrence of an overflow condition and selects non level limited data when no overflow condition exists.

  • Patent number: 4909120
Abstract: Truncate processing is performed so that a new tone is not generated before the envelope waveform is finished but the new tone is produced after the volume of the previous tone is sufficiently diminished, by which the new tone can be produced with a satisfactory feeling of attack. Further, the envelope waveform is not abruptly interrupted and cleared in a moment but is decayed at a constant and high speed, thereby preventing the generation of noise such as a click. Moreover, demanded speed data is provided for each tone, by which it is possible to produce repective tones not at a demanded speed like the least common multiple but at an optimum speed for each tone and to make the previous tone generation proceed to the next tone generation without producing noise such as a click.

  • Patent number: 4682041
Abstract: A coating quality measuring device and a pattern plate including one reference pattern portion having a large pattern width and a plurality of strip pattern portions each having a smaller pattern width. The pattern plate is disposed opposite the coated surface. The pattern plate is reflected off the coated surface and a reflected image is formed on an image sensor. The image sensor successively outputs signals each corresponding to the light level of each strip pattern portion on a line extending in a width direction of each strip pattern portion of the reflected image. A computing device calculates an average signal level of the signals outputted by the image sensor, divides the difference between the average signal level and the signal level of each signal by the signal level of the reference pattern portion and calculates a square average value of the obtained division value to obtain a measure of the coating quality of the coated surface.

  • Patent number: 4635200
Abstract: A system for controlling the air-fuel ratio in an internal combustion engine provided with a fuel injector. The system has an O.sub.2 sensor for issuing signals on two levels, one corresponding to a high air-fuel ratio, the other to a low air-fuel ratio, and a feedback control device responsive to the signal from the sensor. The feedback control calculates a correction factor for maintaining the air-fuel ratio to a desired value during steady operation and for indicating the deviation in the ratio from the desired value during transient conditions. This deviation is employed to generate a transient correction value which is selected to minimize the deviation during transient conditions.

  • Patent number: 4633840
Abstract: Air-fuel ratio control of an internal combustion engine is performed using sensors for detecting operating conditions of the engine, such as the intake air amount, engine rotational speed, or air-fuel ratio; a fuel injection valve driven by an electrical signal to inject fuel; and a control circuit for receiving signals from the operating condition sensors, performing predetermined operations and generating an electrical signal for driving the fuel injection valve. The control circuit performs a step of calculating an air-fuel ratio variation D(A/F) with respect to an optimum air-fuel ratio based on the ratio of a change .DELTA.F, of an air-fuel ratio correction signal F during acceleration under air-fuel ratio feedback control based on a signal from the air-fuel ratio sensor, to an acceleration amount A, and a step of controlling a transient fuel correction ratio f(AEW) based on the obtained air-fuel ratio variation D(A/F).
