Abstract: Systems and methods for abating NOx in an exhaust stream are provided. System using a lean NOx trap, an air injector and optional catalysts and filters are described. The emissions treatment system is advantageously used for the treatment of exhaust streams from diesel engines and lean burn gasoline engines.

Abstract: Message integrity in a messaging oriented middleware system is preserved by determining a message producer's level of message integrity by examination of connection details between the message producer and a messaging engine. The message producer's level of integrity is stored in a memory of the messaging engine. The message is then stored in the designated destination using the message producer's level of integrity. The message is sent from the designated destination to a consumer when it is determined that the consumer conforms to the integrity levels.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are described for performing buffer tree synthesis. Some embodiments create a lookup table based on information contained in a cell library. The lookup table is then used during buffer tree synthesis.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a flexible spending account (FSA) include receiving, from a user, user information and a purchase request to make a purchase from a merchant. A payment is then made for at least a portion of the purchase by transferring funds over the network from a user FSA to a merchant account. Payment detail information such as, for example, a receipt, is then received over the network from the merchant in response to making the payment. The payment detail information is then sent over the network to an FSA provider that provides the user FSA. If the FSA provider analyzes the payment detail information and determines that the payment made using the user FSA includes an item that is an unqualified expense, funds from a user secondary account may be transferred to the user FSA to reimburse the user FSA.

Abstract: A virtual operator and method for performing authentication and service translation. The virtual operator assigns first and second identifiers to subscribers. The virtual operator updates the second identifier when the service provider corresponding to the second identifier changes. When the virtual operator receives a request for authentication, the virtual operator forwards the authentication request to a serving network for authentication. When the virtual operator receives a service request, the virtual operator selects, using network optimization criteria, a network to provide the requested service. The virtual operator translates network protocols when the network forwarding authentication or service request uses a network protocol different from the network performing authentication or the requested service.

Abstract: When a consumer selects and checks out merchandise at a point of sale of a merchant, price matching is automatically performed for the selected merchandise and the merchant has the opportunity to price match competitors' prices. The price of the merchandise is automatically adjusted based on the merchant's price matching policy. Thus, the customer may receive the benefit of price matching automatically during the checkout process. Further, prices offered at the merchant and at the competitors are continuously monitored for a period of time after purchase. When lower prices are found during the period of time, the purchase price is automatically adjusted and the amount difference between the purchase price and the lower price is automatically refunded to the customer's payment account.

Abstract: An automatable management system for testing one or more electronic control modules (ECMs), in one or more machines, is disclosed. The one or more ECMs are switchably connected to a testing unit (TU). The system includes at least one ECM connector, connectable to the one or more ECMs. The at least one ECM connector is one of a male connector or a female connector. Similarly, the system includes at least one TU connector connectable with the TU. Further, at least one actuator is operably connectable to at least one of the at least one ECM connector and the at least one TU connector. The actuator is configured to facilitate an electrical connection between the ECM and the testing unit in response to a relay signal generated by the testing unit.

By subscribing to the system, a non-alliance operator can gain roaming access to alliance networks having existing bilateral roaming relationships. An authentication message is received from a roaming network in which a subscriber is roaming and the message is authenticated if there is a roaming relationship. The authentication message is forwarded to the home network via an alliance network and responsive to the indication that the authentication message was received at a roaming network, roaming transactions are enabled for the subscriber within the roaming network.

Methods for treating the exhaust gas stream are also provided. Methods of making and using such catalysts and catalytic articles are also described.
