  • Publication number: 20190114165
Abstract: Forward and/or backward compatibility between an invoking program and the invoked program can be maintained by using compatibility indicators and/or annotations to configuration settings that specify the desired behavior of the invoked program. Compatibility indicators and/or annotations can be used to override default behavior to ensure compatibility between a version of a program and a version or revision of a dependency of the program. Annotations can be made to configuration settings or to initialization programs and/or files. Configuration and/or initialization settings for the program can be annotated to indicate when default behavior of the dependency is to be overridden to provide alternate behavior. Configuration settings for the program can be annotated to indicate when future revisions to the dependency are to be applied.

  • Publication number: 20190098267
Abstract: Features of the present disclosure implement a light illumination system that utilizes a scanning device that is pivotal on an axis between a plurality of positions. To this end, the system may partition the image frame into at least a first sub-image frame and a second sub-image frame. The system may adjust the scanning device, during the first time period, to a first position to reflect light associated with the first sub-image and adjust the scanning mirror, during the second time period, to a second position to reflect light associated with the second sub-image. Thus, by implementing the techniques described herein, the overall size of a linear array (e.g., liquid crystal on silicon or LCoS) in an optics systems (as well as of some optical components in the optics systems) may be reduced from its current constraints, and thereby achieving a compact optical system that is mobile and user friendly.

  • Patent number: 9950977
Abstract: Polyhydroxyfullerenes (PHFs) having enhanced electron scavenging capabilities have a ratio of non-hydroxyl functional groups to hydroxyl functional groups that is less than or equal to 0.3. When combined with a semiconductor photocatalyst, such as titanium dioxide nanoparticles, the PHFs provide a photocatalyst for degradation of chemical and biological contaminates with an efficiency of at least twice that of titanium dioxide nanoparticles free of PHFs. The PHFs are included in these catalysts at a weight ratio to titanium dioxide of about 0.001 to about 0.003, whereas significantly lower and higher ratios do not achieve the highly improved photodegradation capability. PHFs outside of the desired structure are shown to be of little value for photodegradation, and can be inhibiting to the photocatalytic activity of TiO2. The enhanced electron scavenging PHFs can be employed as a component of materials for solar cells, field effect transistors, and radical scavengers.

  • Publication number: 20170220939
Abstract: A multi-horizon predictor system that predicts a future parameter value for multiple horizons based on time-series data of the parameter, external data, and machine-learning. For a given time horizon, a time series data splitter splits the time into training data corresponding to a training time period, and a validation time period corresponding to a validation time period between the training time period and the given horizon. A model tuner tunes the prediction model of the given horizon fitting an initial prediction model to the parameter using the training data thereby using machine learning. The model tuner also tunes the initial prediction model by adjusting an effect of the external data on the prediction to generate a final prediction model for the given horizon using the validation data. A multi-horizon predictor causes the time series data splitter and the model tuner to operate for each of multiple horizons.

  • Patent number: 9721420
Abstract: A gaming method for presenting both gaming content based video signals and secondary video signals over a multi-layer touch screen display using a multiple Display Manager system is disclosed. First and second display managers are configured to receive game content video signals from a gaming controller and secondary video signals from a secondary video source. The first display manager is in communication with a front layer of the touch screen display and the second display manager is in communication with a back layer of the touch screen display. The screen may be split between multiple signals, or one or more signals may overlay one or more background signals. The overlaid signals may completely obscure the background signals, or they may provide a level of transparency. A touch router device interprets touches at a touch screen shared display to transform coordinates to enable interpretation of the player's touch inputs.

  • Patent number: 9665473
Abstract: A device may be configured to receive, from a first device, first test scripts for testing an application. The first test scripts may include information for reproducing interactions with the application on the first device. The device may generate second test scripts, for testing the application on a second device, that reproduce the interactions with the application on the second device. The second test scripts may be generated based on the first test scripts and mapping information that maps resources of the first device to resources of the second device. The first device and the second device may be different device types. The device may provide the second test scripts to the second device. The device may receive and store test results of executing the second test scripts on the second device that indicate results of reproducing the interactions on the second device.

  • Publication number: 20160119359
Abstract: The present invention integrates user, application and server level security with standard operating procedures, thus providing an end to end security blanket over the organization's network and information security. The invention provides step by step directions for processing accurate transactions, which are free from deviations, transactional errors and security breaches. The invention intelligently & instantly analyzes the commands that are being fed into the organization system/application, and then decides to either accept or reject the direction given by the user versus a predefined protocol. As such, although the words are being keyed through a keyboard, the present invention intelligence interacts with the external device to understand the command or input, suggesting alterations or lets it through. The instructions provided through the mouse or the mouse pad, are also prescreened before letting the instructions getting into or out of the system.
