  • Publication number: 20170242036
Abstract: Life-threatening traumas such as terrorist attacks, war, disasters, mental or physical assault, severe accidents and violence frequently provoke emotional and behavioral disturbances known as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and suicide related thereto. Accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for PTSD and suicide remain difficult. The discovery of specific markers creates new opportunities for more accurate clinical assessments identifying groups that may experience better outcomes when exposed to an intervention. The present invention provides a process of detection of P-11, UBE3A, STY1, EMAP-II, SIP1, ORC5L, DCX, SCYE protein in a biological sample of a subject suspected of suffering from PTSD and/or having suicidal tendencies, and provides additional PTSD markers which are specific to gender.

  • Patent number: 9738706
Abstract: Anti-cytokine therapy has revolutionized immunological disease treatment, but is not always effective and subject to treatment resistance as the cytokine cascade is highly redundant and multiple cytokines are involved in inflammation. Targeting a critical common regulator of inflammatory effectors is desirable. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-responsive beige-like anchor (LRBA) is a master regulator of multiple genes important for inflammation. Subcellular localization shows that LRBA translocated to the nucleus upon LPS stimulation and colocalized with multiple proteins associated with the endosome membrane system, indicating a critical role in membrane/vesicle trafficking essential for deposition, secretion and signal transduction of immune effectors.

  • Publication number: 20170146555
Abstract: Proteins that are differentially expressed or elevated in tissue and biofluids after central nervous system injuries are described. Elevated or reduced levels of the proteins, alone or in various combinations or ratios, can be used to assess severity of central nervous system injury (CNS injury) including traumatic brain injury (TBI), traumatic spinal cord injury (SCI) and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). Time course measurements post CNS-injury of these proteins can be used to monitor progress or recovery over periods up to several months. Differentiation of acute, subacute and chronic injury can be diagnosed by comparing the protein levels in CNS-injury patients at days 1-3, day 4-10 with levels at day 30-180 in comparison with normal controls.

Abstract: A pumping device includes a seal cap unit including a cap, an air relief member connected with the cap, and a regulating member connected with the air relief member. The cap has an air inlet hole and an air outlet hole. The air outlet hole has a through hole. The air relief member is mounted on the air outlet hole and has a guide hole and a plurality of apertures. The regulating member has an air relief hole and a plurality of draining holes. • Publication number: 20170051439
Abstract: The invention discloses a method and device of dynamically configuring linear density and blending ratio of yarn by four-ingredient asynchronous/synchronous drafted, comprising: a drafting and twisting system, which includes a first stage drafting unit, a successive second stage drafting unit and an integrating and twisting unit. The first stage drafting unit includes a combination of back rollers and a middle roller. The second stage drafting unit includes a front roller and the middle roller. Blending proportion and linear densities of the four ingredients are dynamically adjusted by the first stage asynchronous drafting mechanism, and reference linear density is adjusted by the second stage synchronous drafting mechanism. The invention can not only accurately control a linear density change, but also accurately control color change of the yarn. Further, rotation rate of the middle roller is constant, ensuring a reproducibility of patterns and colors of the yarn with changing linear density.
