  • Patent number: 12088376
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a channel state information (CSI) report configuration for a multiple transmission reception point (TRP) transmission, such as a non-coherent joint transmission (NCJT). A method by a base station (BS) includes providing a user equipment (UE) with a CSI report configuration. The CSI report configuration is associated with one or more CSI reference signal (RS) resources. Each CSI-RS resource comprising a set of ports or port groups. The BS signals the UE to enable the UE to send a CSI report including CSI for more than one CSI-RS resource or for a CSI-RS resource comprising more than one port group and receives a CSI report from the UE.

  • Patent number: 12088379
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a sounding reference signal (SRS) that indicates that the UE is configured with a quantity of receive elements that is greater relative to a quantity of transmit elements with which the UE is configured. The UE may receive, based at least in part on transmitting the SRS, a first channel state information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) set and a second CSI-RS set. The UE may transmit a CSI report that is based at least in part on the first CSI-RS set and the second CSI-RS set. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Patent number: 12089258
Abstract: A configurable new radio (NR) RACH procedure that may be executed by a UE and a base station is disclosed. A configuration to determine, by a user equipment, a random access procedure timeline, from multiple random access procedure timelines that each define a different duration between one or more messages that are communicated in a random access procedure can be determined or transmitted. A random access preamble can be received from the UE based on the random access procedure timeline, and a response to the random access preamble can be determined or transmitted based on the random access procedure timeline.

  • Publication number: 20240298198
Abstract: A victim user equipment (UE) may experience cross-link interference (CLI) from transmissions from an aggressor UE. The present disclosure provides for configuration of a CLI report that accurately characterizes the CLI experienced by the victim UE. A base station may transmit to the victim UE, a configuration for CLI reporting associated with one or more channel state information interference measurement (CSI-IM) resources. The victim UE may generate a CLI report based on the configuration for CLI reporting and the CSI-IM resources. The victim UE may transmit the CLI report to the base station. The base station may use the CLI report to mitigate the CLI, for example, by scheduling the aggressor UE and the victim UE to reduce CLI experienced by the victim UE.

  • Publication number: 20240297766
Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to downlink (DL) control channel communications are provided. A wireless communication device identifies a search space set including a plurality of PDCCH candidate search spaces for a downlink control channel. The wireless communication device determines that a first resource associated with a first PDCCH candidate search space of the plurality of PDCCH candidate search spaces overlaps with a preconfigured resource. The wireless communication device monitors for a downlink control message over the downlink control channel by excluding monitoring in at least the first PDCCH candidate search space based on the determining.

  • Publication number: 20240297693
Abstract: A UE may determine a number of antenna ports associated with a frequency band that includes one or more CCs. The determined number of antenna ports may be based on a plurality of UL Tx chains for the one or more CCs/frequency band. The UE may switch from a first UL Tx chain to a second UL Tx chain, at least one of which may be associated with the one or more CCs/frequency band. The number of antenna ports may correspond to a maximum number of antenna ports of an individual CC of the one or more CCs, or to a sum of antenna ports of the one or more CCs. For the latter, the number of antenna ports may be limited to an available number of UE antenna ports when the sum of antenna ports is greater than the available number of UE antenna ports.

  • Publication number: 20240298347
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A method at a user equipment (UE) includes receiving signaling that indicates a carrier aggregation (CA) configuration (having carriers configured for UL and downlink (DL) data transmissions) and an auxiliary uplink (UL) configuration (having carriers configured for UL reference signal transmissions). The method also includes receiving a resource assignment on a DL carrier of the CA configuration, and transmitting an aperiodic sounding reference signal (A-SRS) using the one or more carriers of the auxiliary UL configuration based at least in part on the received resource assignment. • Patent number: 12082204
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may identify and schedule a set of bits in the physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) for transmission of feedback for downlink transmissions occurring after transmission of the uplink grant scheduling the PUSCH. After receiving the uplink grant, a user equipment (UE) may receive control channel (PDCCH) transmissions that schedule downlink transmissions. The UE may monitor for and generate feedback for the downlink transmission. The UE may then utilize the bits indicated by the UL grant to transmit the feedback. In some examples, the UE may determine whether the indicated bits are adequate to transmit the feedback for the later downlink transmissions. When the UE determines that the extra bits are not adequate (e.g., there are not enough bits), then the UE may determine to transmit the feedback separate from the PUSCH resources scheduled by the uplink grant.

  • Patent number: 12082221
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication that indicates whether a common search space (CSS) is associated with a first type of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) or a second type of PDCCH. The first type of PDCCH may correspond to a cell-broadcast PDCCH and the second type of PDCCH may correspond to a UE-specific PDCCH. The CSS may be for downlink control information (DCI) with a cyclic redundancy check scrambled by a group radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI) that schedules a multicast and broadcast service (MBS). The UE may receive, from the base station, the first type of PDCCH or the second type of PDCCH. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Patent number: 12082189
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques may provide for handling of priority indications in scenarios where simultaneous physical uplink control channel (PUCCH)-physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) is supported. For example, wireless communications systems may configure (e.g., via radio resource control (RRC) signaling) simultaneous PUCCH-PUSCH across two or more carriers, where piggybacking of feedback information on uplink shared channel transmission may be disabled. Further, a grant (e.g., downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a PUSCH transmission) may include a priority index field to indicate a priority associated with a transmission or resources scheduled by the grant. The described techniques may provide for efficient handling of priority indications associated with scheduled transmissions that overlap when simultaneous PUCCH-PUSCH is supported (e.g.

  • Publication number: 20240292330
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques described herein relate to a user equipment (UE) that may include a wakeup radio in addition to a main radio to monitor for wakeup signals while the UE is in a sleep mode. The wakeup radio receiver may use less power than the main radio. In some examples, a first UE may indicate to a wireless node (e.g., a controlling sidelink UE or a network entity) that the UE is capable of sending wakeup signals to a second UE. In such examples, the wireless node may transmit a wakeup signal intended for the second UE to the first UE based on the capability report. The first UE may relay the wakeup signal to the second UE. Responsive to receiving the wakeup signal, the second UE may wake up the main radio of the second UE for communications.
