  • Patent number: 8994240
Abstract: A permanent magnet type rotating electrical machine includes a rotor having a rotor core. Magnet holes circumferentially arranged at regular intervals in the rotor core include pairs of first magnet holes and pairs of second magnet holes. Each pair of first magnet holes are symmetric with respect to an imaginary line extending through a rotor core center. Each pair of second magnet holes are located on a radially inner side of the rotor core and are symmetric with respect to the imaginary line. Each pair of second magnet holes are located on an inner circumferential side of the paired first magnet holes with respect to a radial direction of the rotor core. • Publication number: 20150043775
Abstract: A technique is proposed for enabling stable detection of an object even when the contrast of an image is lowered overall or partially. A preprocessing section 12 is added to the upstream stage of an object detecting processing section 13, and provides an obtained corrected image (image obtained by subjecting an input image to contrast enhancement) as an input image for the object detecting processing section 13. This facilitates the detection of the object even when the contrast of the entire screen is lowered due to fog or rain. Furthermore, the object detecting processing section 13 detects the object by using not only the corrected image from the preprocessing section 12 but also correction characteristic information 23 containing image characteristics regarding the correction (contrast enhancement). This attempts to reduce an influence of noises enhanced by the contrast enhancement.

  • Patent number: 8948470
Abstract: Processing for judging whether a face is included in a frame is performed, in a predetermined interval, on each of frames included in a moving image of a subject, displayed on a monitor, until the judgment becomes positive. If it is judged that a face is included in a frame, the facial position is detected in the frame, and stored. Then, judgment is made as to whether a face is included in the next frame after predetermined time. If the judgment is positive, the facial position is detected. The previously stored facial position is replaced by the newly detected facial position, and the newly detected facial position is stored. These processes are repeated until photographing operation is performed by operating a release unit.

  • Patent number: 8805121
Abstract: To acquire a high-resolution frame from a plurality of frames sampled from a video image, it is necessary to obtain a high-resolution frame with reduced picture quality degradation regardless of motion of a subject included in the frame. Because of this, between a plurality of contiguous frames FrN and FrN+1, there is estimated a correspondent relationship. Based on the correspondent relationship, the frames FrN+1 and FrN are interposed to obtain first and second interpolated frames FrH1 and FrH2. Based on the correspondent relationship, the coordinates of the frame FrN+1 are transformed, and from a correlation value with the frame FrN, there is obtained a weighting coefficient ?(x°, y°) that makes the weight of the first interpolated frame FrH1 greater as a correlation becomes greater. With the weighting coefficient, the first and second interpolated frames are weighted and added to acquire a synthesized frame FrG.

  • Patent number: 8781069
Abstract: A radiographic phase-contrast imaging apparatus obtains a phase-contrast image using two gratings including the first grating and the second grating. The first and second gratings are adapted to form a moire pattern when a periodic pattern image formed by the first grating is superimposed on the second grating. Based on the moire pattern detected by the radiographic image detector, image signals of the fringe images, which correspond to pixel groups located at different positions with respect to a predetermined direction, are obtained by obtaining image signals of pixels of each pixel group, which includes pixels arranged at predetermined intervals in the predetermined direction, as the image signal of each fringe image, where the predetermined direction is a direction parallel to or intersecting a period direction of the moire pattern other than a direction orthogonal to the period direction. Then, a phase-contrast image is generated based on the obtained fringe images.

  • Publication number: 20130320357
Abstract: Provided are an epitaxial silicon carbide single crystal substrate having a high-quality silicon carbide single crystal thin film with less stacking faults on a silicon carbide single crystal substrate and a production method therefor. The epitaxial silicon carbide single crystal substrate is produced by growing a silicon carbide epitaxial layer on a silicon carbide single crystal substrate having an off-angle of 4° or less so that the number of stacking faults emitting light at wavelengths ranging from 400 to 600 nm by photoluminescence on the substrate is less than 10/cm2 in total. Additionally, the method for producing the epitaxial silicon carbide single crystal substrate forms the epitaxial layer by using chlorosilane as a silicon-based material gas and hydrocarbon gas as a carbon-based gas, at a growth temperature of 1600° C. to 1700° C., at a C/Si ratio of 0.5 to 1.0, and at a growth rate of 1 to 3 ?m/hr.

  • Patent number: 8391576
Abstract: A normal image representing a normal structure of a predetermined structure in an input medical image is generated with higher accuracy. Further, an abnormal component in the input medical image is separated with higher accuracy. A supervised learned filtering unit inputs an input image representing a predetermined structure to a supervised learned filter to generate an image representing a normal structure of the predetermined structure. The supervised learned filter is obtained through a learning process using supervisor images, each representing a normal structure of the predetermined structure in a subject (individual), and corresponding training images, each containing an abnormal component in the corresponding subject (individual). Further, a difference processing unit separates an abnormal component in the input image by calculating a difference between the input image and the image representing the normal structure.
