  • Publication number: 20140371766
Abstract: A device 10 for gathering tissue in a patient includes an elongated catheter 14 and a capture assembly 13 at a distal portion of the catheter. The capture assembly has a closed side 18 and a door 20 rotatable between an open condition and a closed condition. The closed side 18 of the capture assembly 13 and the door 20 in the closed condition may collectively define a tissue capturing compartment 19. Movement of the door 20 from the open condition to the closed condition adjacent the tissue may capture a portion 44 of the tissue in the tissue capturing compartment 19. A clip may then be applied from the capture assembly 13 to the captured tissue 44 to hold the tissue substantially in a gathered configuration.

  • Publication number: 20140203294
Abstract: Semiconductor structures comprising a III-nitride (e.g., gallium nitride) material region and methods associated with such structures are provided. In some embodiments, the structures include an electrically conductive material (e.g., gold) separated from certain other region(s) of the structure (e.g., a silicon substrate) by a barrier material in order to limit, or prevent, undesirable reactions between the electrically conductive material and the other component(s) which can impair device performance. In certain embodiments, the electrically conductive material may be formed in a via. For example, the via can extend from a topside of the device to a backside so that the electrically conductive material connects a topside contact to a backside contact. The structures described herein may form the basis of a number of semiconductor devices including transistors (e.g., FET), Schottky diodes, light-emitting diodes and laser diodes, amongst others.

  • Publication number: 20140167058
Abstract: An epitaxial structure on a substrate includes a gallium nitride buffer layer over the substrate and a graded channel layer over the gallium nitride layer. The graded channel layer consists essentially of InxGa1-xN wherein the value of x gets smaller from a first surface of the channel layer proximate to a buffer layer to a second surface remote from the buffer layer.

  • Publication number: 20140151712
Abstract: An epitaxial structure, such as an enhancement-mode high electron mobility transistor (HEMT) includes a first barrier layer over an aluminum gallium nitride channel layer. The first barrier layer is formed at a first temperature and is overlaid by a second barrier layer formed at a second temperature that is lower than that of the first temperature. The first barrier layer acts as an etch stop when forming a gate recess in the second barrier layer by a wet or dry etching.

  • Publication number: 20140148286
Abstract: A speed select shift mechanism for a belt drive assembly to be installed on a shaft capable of shifting between high, low and neutral speeds is disclosed. The shift mechanism includes a shift collar that is enclosed within an enclosure to prevent debris from contacting the inner operations of the shift mechanism and thereby reduce wear and tear of the shift mechanism along with down time for maintenance of the device. The shift mechanism includes a shaft, a first pulley, a shift collar, a second pulley and a shifter. The shift collar further includes dowels that cooperatively engage corresponding apertures on the pulleys.

  • Publication number: 20140051983
Abstract: Electromagnetic tracking systems and methods for correcting hemispherical ambiguity are described. The system may include a single transmitter having three coils arranged in an industry-standard coil arrangement (ISCA). The tracking system may also contain a receiver having three coils arranged in an ISCA configuration, as well as a fourth coil having a different orientation then any of the other three coils of the receiver. The fourth coil may be used to determine the correct solution to the hemispherical ambiguity that can occur when tracking using two three-coil assemblies. Other embodiments are described.

  • Publication number: 20140033932
Abstract: An oven comprising a housing, a cavity located within the housing, and a rotator having a first food loading section and a second food loading section is disclosed. The cavity includes a single opening for loading a food item into the cavity. If one of the first food loading section and the second food loading section is located outside of said cavity, then the other of the first food loading section and the second food loading section is located within said cavity. A first cook setting of the oven when the first food loading section is within the cavity and a second cook setting of the oven when the second food loading section is within the cavity are independently controllable. The first food loading section and the second food loading section may be separated by a divider, which prevents heat from escaping from the cavity through the opening.
