    Abstract: A backlight module and a liquid crystal display device are disclosed. The backlight module comprises a backlight source, a beam splitter and a light beam conversion portion. The beam splitter converts light from the backlight source into a first and second polarization light beam. The light beam conversion portion converts the first polarization light beam into a third polarization light beam through total reflection, and outputs the second and third polarization light beam through a light exit side. Alternatively, the light beam conversion portion converts the first and second polarization light beam into a fourth and fifth polarization light beam through total reflection, and outputs the fourth and fifth polarization light beam through the light exit side. To this end, light from the backlight source is efficiently applied to irradiate a liquid crystal display panel, and the brightness of the liquid crystal display panel significantly improves.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are carbon quantum dots (CQDs), and methods for producing the CQDs. The method includes the steps of, (a) reacting CQD precursors and a liquid medium at a temperature no more than 100° C. for a first period of time; and (b) adding a monosaccharide to the reaction mixture of the step (a) and allowing the reaction to proceed for a second period of time to produce the CQDs. The CQDs thus produced are about 1-5 nm in size, and pH sensitive, thus may emit blue light at acidic condition and yellow light at alkaline condition.

    Abstract: An induced draft fan, including: a housing, a wind wheel, an AC motor, and a controller. The controller includes: an AC-DC conversion circuit, a microprocessor, a Hall sensor, a drive circuit, and a relay. The input end of the AC-DC conversion circuit is connected to an external AC input, and the output end of the AC-DC conversion circuit supplies a DC current to each circuit part. The input end of the relay is connected to the external AC input, and the output end of the relay supplies power for corresponding parts. A magnetic ring is disposed on a rotating shaft of the AC motor. The Hall sensor is disposed close to the magnetic ring for detecting a signal of a rotational speed of the AC motor and inputting the signal of the rotational speed into the microprocessor. The microprocessor controls energization or deenergization of the relay.

The first detection unit detects an electrostatic signal, based on a signal between the first power supply terminal and the voltage-dividing output node, and outputs a first signal. The clamping unit is configured to receive the first and second discharge control signals to discharge an electrostatic current between the first and the second power supply terminals.
