    Abstract: An array substrate, a display panel, and a display device are disclosed. The array substrate includes a display region and a non-display region, the non-display region includes a plurality of alignment wires and a plurality of alignment pads; wherein each alignment pad electrically connects to a corresponding alignment wire, and the high potential alignment wire electrically connects to the high potential pad and the low potential alignment wire electrically connects to the low potential pad, the high potential alignment wire is disposed on one side of the plurality of alignment pads and the low potential alignment wire is disposed on an opposite side of the plurality of alignment pads. In the above manner, the present disclosure can reduce the risk of generating static electricity between the alignment wires and improve the electrostatic protection capability of the product.

A method includes forming a first mask layer over an underlying layer, patterning the first mask layer to form a first opening, forming a non-conformal film over the first mask layer, wherein a first thickness of the non-conformal film formed on the top surface of the first mask layer is greater than a second thickness of the non-conformal film formed on a sidewall surface of the first mask layer, performing a descum process, wherein the descum process removes a portion of the non-conformal film within the first opening, and etching the underlying layer using the patterned first mask layer and remaining portions of the non-conformal film as an etching mask.

    Abstract: A nebulizer with orientation independent operation is provided. The nebulizer includes an outer tube, an inner tube provided in the outer tube, and a mesh structure disposed above an end of the outer tube. A first channel, a main channel, and a second channel are formed between the outer tube and the inner tube. When in use, capillary force is created in the main channel, such that a liquid contained in the inner tube can be transported sequentially through the second channel, the main channel, and the first channel to the mesh structure. The liquid is nebulized and dispersed into the air through vibrations of the mesh structure actuated by an annular vibration source.

    Abstract: A novel evanescent-wave quartz-enhanced optical microfiber photoacoustic gas sensor is provided for detecting trace amounts of gas. Both fiber-taper based evanescent field and photoacoustic spectroscopy can be used to exploit the merits of both technologies. The use of a fiber half-taper into the tuning fork and microresonator tubes can result in reduced system size, simplified optical alignment, and high sensitivity. The techniques described can be used in chemical, biological and environmental sensing applications.

    Abstract: Introduced here are techniques to implement an optoelectronic scanning module (e.g., a LIDAR module) that is lighter in weight and cheaper in cost than the traditional LIDAR modules, and yet still enjoy the same or similar advantages (e.g., high precision, and all weather) as the traditional LIDARs. Example embodiments of the various techniques introduced here include a scanning optoelectronic scanning module that can be carried by an unmanned movable object, such as a UAV. The scanning module further includes an optical structure coupled to the light emitting module. The optical structure is positioned to increase a beam height of the emitted light while generally maintaining a beam width of the emitted light. Moreover, the UAV can carry a motion mechanism operable to rotate the scanning module relative to the airframe about a spin axis, so that the scanning module can perform 360 degree horizontal scans.

    Abstract: A system for using ultrasound to detect distance on mobile platform and methods for making and using same. The system includes an ultrasound transceiver that can transmit and/or receive ultrasound waves and determine distance from an object of interest using a time-of-flight of the ultrasound wave. The system is adapted to reduce noise by using a dynamic model of the mobile platform to set constraints on the possible location of a received ultrasound echo. A linear, constant-speed dynamic model can be used to set constraints. The system can further reduce noise by packetizing a received ultrasound waveform and filtering out noise according to height and width of the packets. The system likewise can remove dead zones in the ultrasound transceiver by subtracting an aftershock waveform from the received waveform. The systems and methods are suitable for ultrasound distance detection on any type of mobile platform, including unmanned aerial vehicles.

Identifying the ultrasound echo includes dividing a sonic waveform received by the mobile platform into packets, filtering the packets using at least a threshold packet bandwidth to identify one or more candidate packets that are not noise, and identifying the ultrasound echo from the one or more candidate packets. The threshold packet bandwidth is multiple of an average width of previously known echoes.
