  • Patent number: 7975563
Abstract: A servo position/stress detection control system has a servomotor, a servo driver and a controller. The servo driver has a control unit, an absolute angle reading unit and a register. The control unit selectively drives or stops the servomotor and converts torque value of the servomotor to a force value. The absolute angle reading unit reads an absolute angle value of rotation in response to a spindle of the servomotor. The controller respectively converts the absolute angle value and the force value to a linear displacement and a load stress value with a calculating program, establishes a load line in response to different force values and corresponding linear displacements wherein the load line provides corresponding correction basis for the servo driver to automatically detect height variances caused by reacting force and accordingly adjust working status of the servomotor.

  • Publication number: 20110141105
Abstract: A facial animation production method for producing 3-dimensional (3D) facial animation data in response to input video data includes the following steps. First, data positioning and character sorting processes are performed on the input video data to acquire first-layer character data, for indicating multiple first-layer character points, and first-layer model data. Next, first-layer model outline data and first-layer character outline data are respectively obtained according to the first-layer model data and the first-layer character data. Then, the first-layer character outline data is compared with the first-layer model outline data to judge whether a judgment condition is satisfied. If not, output character data are produced according to the first-layer character data, and fundamental facial-mesh transformation data are thus produced. Thereafter, the 3D facial animation data are displayed according to the fundamental facial-mesh transformation data.

  • Publication number: 20110091048
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for virtual bass synthesis. The low frequency signal is attained by applying a low pass filter to the original. In order to reduce the operations, process of down sampling the low frequency signal, moving the low frequency signal to a series of harmonics whose frequencies are integral times as large as the frequency of low frequency signals, and then up sampling them are provided. By means of psycho-acoustic theory, the weights of harmonics are attained and applied to the harmonics. Finally the weighted harmonics are combined to produce the bass signal. As the result, the virtual bass effect which is almost the same as the low frequency of the original audio signal can be accomplished. Because the harmonic signals are high frequency ones, the virtual effect can be made in the panel speakers or ordinary low-end speakers.

  • Patent number: 7920724
Abstract: The present invention disclose an iris recognition method, which utilizes a matching pursuit algorithm to simplify the extraction and reconstruction of iris features and reduce the memory space required by each iris feature vector without the penalty of recognition accuracy. The iris recognition method of the present invention comprises an iris-localization component and a pattern matching component. The iris-localization component locates the iris region via the color difference between different portions of the eyeball. The primary iris features are extracted from iris information and transformed into a sequence of iris feature vectors by a matching pursuit algorithm. Thus, the iris image can be represented by a sequence of atoms, and each atom contains base, amplitude and location. Then, the comparison between the feature vectors of two irises is performed to determine whether the two irises match.
