  • Publication number: 20030219134
Abstract: An Audio Codec which comprises a power selecting circuit an audio compiler circuit and a control amplifier circuit The power selecting circuit receives at least a primary power source and an auxiliary power source and outputs a working power selected from the power sources. The auxiliary power source is selected and output to the control amplifier circuit only when the computer is at a power-off status. When the computer is power-on, the primary power source will be selected and output to both the audio compiler circuit and the control amplifier circuit. Therefore, the Audio Codec of the present invention only needs one set of internally furnished control amplifier circuit to both operate on the normal power-on status and perform the Power OFF CD function.

  • Publication number: 20030173189
Abstract: A cover or housing which spans an output port of a first station and an input port of a second station in a manufacturing facility, for example, and covers or houses a conveyor extending between the stations for conveying articles from the first station to the second station. A source of nitrogen gas or clean dry air is provided in communication with the housing interior, and at least one exhaust fan is provided on the housing. As articles are conveyed from the first station to the second station, nitrogen gas or clean dry air is blown into the housing and drawn therefrom through the exhaust fan or fans, such that the flowing gas or air removes particles from the articles as they are carried to the second station.

  • Patent number: 6621242
Abstract: A motor speed control having synchronous PWM signals has a synchronous phase detecting unit and a PWM control unit. The synchronous phase detecting unit detects the phase variation of a Hall signal, which represents the phase change of the motor, and outputs a digital value to the PWM control unit. The PWM control unit compares the digital value with a speed control command so as to obtain a PWM signal, wherein the PWM signal is synchronized with the Hall signal. Since the PWM signal is synchronized with the Hall signal, the motor is operated smoothly even in the low speed rotation, and audible noises are effectively reduced.

  • Publication number: 20030147016
Abstract: The invention has modified the conventional LCD structure, wherein a polarizing film is directly coated in the liquid crystal cell instead of the conventional polarizing plate, which is glued on the outer side of the liquid crystal cell. Then, the invention can prevent the direct contact between the polarizing film and the touch panel of film film (FF) type or in film plastic (FP) type. Thus, the touch panel on the LCD panel can adapt various technologies, so that the touch panel of FF type can be used without worrying about the damage on the polarizing film due to the pressure while a point touch is applied on the touch panel. Also and, for the touch panel of FP type, a conductive film can be directly coated on the panel substrate. The invention uses the coating polarizing film as an extraordinary mode (e-mode) polarizer. Also and, an ordinary mode (o-mode) polarizer can also be adapted, so as to expand the large viewing angle in good polarizing effect.

  • Patent number: 6570428
Abstract: The present invention relates to an adjustable clock skew apparatus and method for generating clock signals, which resolves the drawbacks of costing a user much time and effort to adjust clock skews of all components on a motherboard. In order to accomplish the object, the present invention proposes three operating modes: hardware setup, software setup or a mixture of hardward and software setup. A user just needs to adjust a plurality of exterior switches or to adjust a Basic Input Output System (BIOS) of the motherboard to modify the parameter of clock skew, and clock signals with necessary clock skews will be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20030084312
Abstract: A method is used for preventing the users to use the interface card without the permission of the original supplier. A RAM and a memory are stored in the interface card and coupled with each other. A portion of an AP code and an STA code are stored in the memory and load into the RAM. Another portion of the AP code is stored in a member and loaded into the RAM for covering the STA code and for forming a complete AP code. The RAM of the interface card may be permitted to use only when or after the portions of the AP codes are matched with each other.

  • Patent number: 6553625
Abstract: A positioning hinge for providing pivotal positioning is disclosed. The positioning hinge comprises a pivotal member, a pivotal base, a first torsion spring and a friction device. The friction device includes a positioning element and a slide-friction member, which are kept in a resilient friction contact with each other by means of a resilient mechanism. This enables the LCD display to be opened due to the pivoting action of the pivotal base under the results of resilience and frictional positioning. It is appreciated that the above features advantageously result in an appropriate reduction in the opening speed of the LCD display while at the same time obtaining a steady frictional pivotal positioning, thereby prolonging the working life of the positioning hinge.

  • Patent number: 6529356
Abstract: A power polarity reversal protecting circuit for an integrated circuit includes a protecting transistor, PMOS components and NMOS components, wherein the protecting transistor is a protecting PMOS transistor or a protecting NMOS transistor. If the protecting transistor is the PMOS transistor, a gate and a source of the protecting PMOS transistor are respectively connected to ground and power. A drain and a substrate of the protecting PMOS transistor is connected to a substrate of the PMOS component. If the protecting transistor is the protecting NMOS transistor, a gate and a source of the protecting NMOS transistor are respectively connected to power and ground. A drain and a substrate of the protecting NMOS transistor is connected to a substrate of the NMOS component. When the power polarity is in reversal connection, the protecting transistors are terminated to prevent damage from the power polarity reversal connection.
