    Abstract: A structure to increase the breakdown voltage of the high electron mobility transistor is provided to solve the problem of function loss under a high voltage state. The structure includes a substrate, a conducting layer located on the substrate, a gate insulating layer and an electric-field-dispersion layer. The upper portion of the conducting layer is an electron supply layer, and the lower portion of the conducting layer is an electron tunnel layer. The gate insulating layer is laminated on the electron supply layer. The electric-field-dispersion layer is laminated on the gate insulating layer. The dielectric constant of the electric-field-dispersion layer is smaller than that of the gate insulating layer. A gate electrode is located between the electric-field-dispersion layer and the gate insulating layer. A source and a drain electrodes are respectively electrically connected to the electric-field-dispersion layer, the gate insulating layer, the electron supply layer, and the electron tunnel layer.

    Abstract: A two-stage cycloid speed reducer comprises two rotating disc assemblies. Each rotating disc assembly comprises two cycloid discs. In other words, the cycloid speed reducer has four cycloid discs to be in contact with the corresponding rollers. Consequently, the load withstood by each cycloid disc is reduced. Since the cycloid speed reducer has stronger structural strength, the cycloid speed reducer can be applied to the high-load circumstance. Moreover, an eccentric assembly of the eccentric device includes a plurality of eccentric cylinders. The eccentric cylinders are disposed within the axle holes of the corresponding cycloid discs. Due to the eccentric cylinders, the eccentric direction of two cycloid discs is opposite to the eccentric direction of the other two cycloid discs. Consequently, it is not necessary to install an additional weight compensation device in the cycloid speed reducer to compensate the dynamic equilibrium. Moreover, the cycloid speed reducer can be assembled easily.

The ball screw includes a screw and a nut, wherein the screw is connected to the first linear motor, and the nut is connected to the second linear motor. When the screw and the nut are driven by the first and second linear motors to move along the linear rail in a synchronized manner, the linear-rotary actuator provides linear motion output. When the nut is driven by the second linear motor to move along the linear rail in an asynchronous manner with respect to the screw, the linear-rotary actuator provides rotary motion output.

    Abstract: A method of forming a GaN film includes following steps. A silicon-on-insulator (SOI) substrate is provided. The SOI substrate includes a substrate, an insulator layer and a silicon layer. The insulator layer is disposed on the substrate and the silicon layer is disposed on the insulator layer. The silicon layer is pattered into a patterned silicon layer including a plurality of recessed features. Each recessed feature has a sidewall. A plurality of GaN structures are epitaxially grown from the sidewalls, and the GaN structures are separated from each other. The GaN structures are continuously epitaxially grown vertically and horizontally to merge the GaN structures over top of the patterned silicon layer to form a GaN layer.

    Abstract: A switching controller circuit for controlling a flyback power converter includes: a power transformer, a primary side controller circuit and a secondary side controller circuit. The power transformer is coupled between the input voltage and the output voltage in an isolated manner. The secondary side controller circuit generates a synchronous rectification (SR) signal, to control an SR switch of the flyback power converter. The SR signal includes an SR pulse and a soft switching (SS) pulse. The SR pulse controls the SR switch to be ON for an SR period, to achieve synchronous rectification at the secondary side. The SS pulse controls the SR switch to be ON for an SS period, to achieve soft switching of the primary side switch.

    Abstract: A flyback power converter includes a primary side controller circuit for controlling a primary side switch; and a secondary side controller circuit for generating an SR (Synchronous Rectification) signal to control an SR switch. The SR signal includes an SR pulse and a ZVS (Zero Voltage Switching) pulse. The SR pulse controls the SR switch for synchronous rectification at the secondary side. The secondary side controller circuit samples and holds a voltage at a first end of the SR switch as a first voltage at a timing between the end of the ZVS pulse and the beginning of the SR pulse, and determines a length of the ZVS pulse so as to control the SR switch to be conductive for a ZVS time period, whereby the primary side switch achieves ZVS. The first voltage is proportional to an input voltage.

The video and the transcripts of the sentence are made into instructional materials. Words in the transcripts can be tagged to indicate words that a learner of another native tongue might tend to make.

    Abstract: A novel hypochlorous acid disinfectant and its production method. The disinfectant is prepared by weight in a total of 100% as chlorine powder (dichloroisocyanuric acid, sodium salt or trichloroisocyanuric acid) of 20 to 45%, adding sodium dihydrogen phosphate or citric acid, or ingredients or raw materials with acidic pH of 15 to 40% as a main ingredient, calcium chloride of 15 to 20%, excipients of 3 to 8%. The method includes: stirring the chlorine powder with the calcium chloride; adding the sodium dihydrogen phosphate, the citric acid, the ingredients, or raw materials with acidic pH in order; and adding the excipient while stirring for 20 to 30 minutes until completely uniform to prepare the hypochlorous acid disinfectant. This disinfectant is quantitatively accurate, does not need to calculate the ratio, and is convenient to use and safe to transport.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for scoring spoken Chinese are provided. In an exemplary method, a user reads a written transcript and the user's voice is recorded. Characters of the transcript are then represented as pinyins with tone markings. The voice recording is sectioned into individual phonemes that are aligned with the phonemes of the pinyins. For each character of the transcript, a tone is determined for the phonemes in the voice recording corresponding to that character. That tone is scored as correct or incorrect by comparison to the tone marking associated with the pinyins for that character. The pronunciation of each phoneme of the voice recording is also scored relative to the corresponding phonemes of the pinyins of the characters of the transcript. Further scores for words and sentences can be developed from the tone and pronunciation scores and provided to the user with feedback.
