  • Patent number: 6748787
Abstract: A method of producing workpiece having irregular cross section by stamping thin plate into thick plate is provided. In the method, a thin plate having a uniform thickness corresponding to that of a thinner area to be formed on the workpiece is used. Multiple stamping heads having different and gradually increased bevel angles are used one by one to stamp one or two sides of the thin plate at a predetermined scrap area, so that a part of the scrap area is gradually compressed and pushed toward a specific area that is to have larger thickness on said workpiece. When the specific area bumps to a predetermined height, a stamping mold is used to downward stamp the bumped area into a predetermined shape. Thereafter, the remained scrap area on the thin plate is removed to obtain the desired workpiece. The method enables largely reduced scrap and manufacturing time and cost in forming a workpiece having irregular cross section.

  • Patent number: 6239947
Abstract: A milliactuator integrated with driver and relative position error sensor circuits formed on a single silicon substrate. The integrated milliactuator/electronics module is positioned between the suspension and the slider/transducer assembly to provide rapid, small motion position control of the slider/transducer over data tracks on the disk of a magnetic disk drive. Integration of the milliactuator electronics with the milliactuator reduces parasitic loading and interference problems with the magnetic transducer signals. Electronic circuits are built on a silicon wafer followed by deposition of a planarization layer and a ground plane layer for isolation from the milliactuator which is then built on top of the circuits.

  • Patent number: 6153539
Abstract: A liquid phase deposition method for growing a titanium dioxide on the gallium arsenide substrate is disclosed. Wherein the solution of hexafluorotitanic acid (H.sub.2 TiF.sub.6) is added with nitric acid (HNO.sub.3) and boric acid (H.sub.3 BO.sub.3) or only added with a nitric acid. Thus a titanium dioxide film is grown on the gallium arsenide substrate which is the most important material of semiconductor. The refractive index will achieve to a value of 2.5. The growth rate can be exactly controlled by the concentration of the nitric acid. The present invention has the advantages of lower cost and low growing temperature. Not only the industrial necessity is satisfied, but also the disadvantages from other growing process having a high cost and expensive equipment is avoided. Thus, the present invention is potentially used in the process of integrated circuits, such as being used in the memory structure with a higher dielectric constant.
