Abstract: A scene segment playing system, a scene segment playing method and a recording medium thereof are provided. The system includes media supply equipment, a description generating server, a scene server, and an end device. The media supply equipment is used for supplying media data. Upon receiving the media data, the scene server supplies scene description data corresponding to the media data. The scene server acquires the media data and interval information supplied by the end device, and retrieves scene segment data from the media data according to a comparison result of the interval information and the scene description data, and outputs the scene segment data to the end device for playing.

Abstract: A touch-sensitive panel including a substrate, a plurality of sensing electrodes and a decoration unit is disclosed. The substrate has a touch-sensitive region and a decoration region arranged at the peripheral of the touch-sensitive region. A portion of the decoration region is a semi-transparent region. The sensing electrodes are disposed on the touch-sensitive region. The decoration unit is disposed on the decoration region. The decoration unit has a meshed pattern in the semi-transparent region. The meshed pattern has a plurality of openings. The side wall of each opening tilts to an angle with respect to a normal line perpendicular to a surface of the substrate to regulate the light transmittance of the light entering the semi-transparent region.

Abstract: A communication terminal device includes a magnetic sensor, a processor, and a power control module. The magnetic sensor detects a current magnetic field generated by induction of internal current in internal circuits of the communication terminal device, and provides a value of strength of the current magnetic field to the processor. The processor compares the value of the strength of the current magnetic field with preset values, and obtains a comparison result. In a situation that the processor determines that the current magnetic field is anomalous according to the comparison result, the processor controls the power control module to withhold power to the communication terminal device.

Abstract: A testing method and an apparatus applied to an IP phone system for testing an electronic device is provided. The electronic device has a true table and signal ports. The electronic device is connected to a power generating jig and an IP phone simulator via a cable. A power generated by the power generating jig is provided. A first value power command issued by the IP phone simulator is provided. Whether the electronic device is able to correctly control the signal ports in response to the first value power command and the true table is determined. A second value power command issued by the IP phone simulator is provided. Whether the electronic device is able to correctly control the signal ports in response to the second value power command and the true table is determined. If so, it is concluded that the electronic device passes the test.

Abstract: A method for fabricating a light emitting diode includes the steps of providing a thermal conductive substrate having an electrical isolation layer, forming an anode via and a cathode via side by side on a first side of the substrate part way through the substrate, forming an anode through interconnect in the anode via and a cathode through interconnect in the cathode via, thinning the substrate from a second side of the substrate to the anode through interconnect and the cathode through interconnect, and mounting a LED chip to the first side in electrical communication with the cathode through interconnect and the anode through interconnect.

Abstract: A simple open-end wrench includes a driving head including first and second jaws and a space delimited therebetween, first and second recesses extended from the space, a pawl pivotally embedded in the first recess, and a biasing mechanism received in the second recess and abutted against the pawl. The pawl includes an abutting end disposed outside the second recess and extended into the space. The pawl is pivotal to a position that the abutting end thereof is disposed within the second recess.

Abstract: A scene control system and method and a recording medium thereof are provided. The system includes a media supply module, a time code unit, and a monitoring unit. The media supply module is used for supplying original scene information and spare scene information. The time code unit respectively obtains an original scene time code corresponding to the original scene information and a spare scene time code corresponding to the spare scene information. The monitoring unit is used for obtaining a control signal according to external ratings or through watching the original scene information downloaded in advance, and according to the control signal, processing an original scene picture of a segment unsuitable for watching in the original scene information through retrieval, content insertion, or pixelization, so as to avoid playing of an inappropriate picture.

Abstract: An automatic search system and a method for assisting a mobile apparatus to search for a matching device are provided. The automatic search method includes the following steps. First, N sets of consecutive images are captured at N time points respectively when the mobile apparatus moves along a first direction. The N is a positive integer greater than 1. Next, the N sets of consecutive images are received, and several image features of the N sets of images are compared, so as to determine accordingly whether the matching device exists in the first direction. If it is determined that the matching device exists, a route signal and an adjustment signal are generated. Next, according to the route signal, the mobile apparatus is controlled to move to an adjacent position of the matching device. Also, according to the adjustment signal, the mobile apparatus is controlled to be combined with the matching device.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining a motion vector predictor (MVP) or a MVP candidate based on a MVP set are disclosed. In video coding systems, the spatial and temporal redundancy is exploited using spatial and temporal prediction to reduce the video data to be transmitted or stored. Motion vector prediction has been used to further conserve the bitrate associated with motion vector coding. Motion vector prediction technique being developed for the current high efficiency video coding (HEVC) only uses a MVP candidate set including spatial MVP candidates and a temporal candidate corresponding to the co-located block. In the current disclosure, the spatial and temporal motion vector predictor set is extended to include at least one spatially neighboring block associated with list 0 reference pictures and list 1 reference pictures, and co-located block and its neighboring block associated with list 0 reference pictures and list 1 reference pictures.

Abstract: A rolled-up inductor structure for a radiofrequency integrated circuit (RFIC) comprises a multilayer sheet in a rolled configuration comprising multiple turns about a longitudinal axis. The multilayer sheet comprises a conductive pattern layer on a strain-relieved layer, and the conductive pattern layer comprises at least one conductive strip having a length extending in a rolling direction. The at least one conductive strip thereby wraps around the longitudinal axis in the rolled configuration. The conductive pattern layer may also comprise two conductive feed lines connected to the conductive strip for passage of electrical current therethrough. The conductive strip serves as an inductor cell of the rolled-up inductor structure.

Abstract: A rolled-up transformer structure comprises a multilayer sheet having a rolled configuration comprising multiple turns about a longitudinal axis. The multilayer sheet comprises more than one conductive pattern layer on a strain-relieved layer, including a first conductive film and a second conductive film separated from the first conductive film in a thickness direction. The first conductive film comprises an even number of primary conductive strips, where each primary conductive strip has a length extending in the rolling direction, and the second conductive film comprises an even number of secondary conductive strips, where each secondary conductive strip has a length extending in the rolling direction. In the rolled configuration, turns of the primary conductive strips and turns of the secondary conductive strips wrap around the longitudinal axis. The primary conductive strips serve as a primary winding and the secondary conductive strips serve as a secondary winding of the rolled-up transformer structure.

Abstract: An electronic device and a method for controlling zooming of a displayed object are disclosed. The method includes: receiving a single-point slide operation performed by a user on a displayed object of a touch screen, and generating a slide signal; parsing the slide signal to obtain a slide track and a feature value of the single-point slide operation; determining whether the feature value of at least one point in the single-point slide operation is greater than a preset value; and when the feature value is greater than the preset value, controlling zooming of the displayed object according to the slide track. A slide track and a feature value of a single-point slide operation of a user are identified, and when it is determined that the feature value is greater than a preset value, zooming of a displayed object of the touch screen is controlled.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of deriving a motion vector predictor (MVP) for a current block in an Inter, Merge, or Skip mode are disclosed. Embodiments according to the present invention determine redundant MVP candidates according to a non-MV-value based criterion. The redundant MVP candidates are then removed from the MVP candidate set. In other embodiments according to the present invention, motion IDs are assigned to MVP candidates to follow the trail of motion vectors associated with the MVP candidate. An MVP candidate having a same motion ID as a previous MVP is redundant and can be removed from the MVP candidate set. In yet another embodiment, redundant MVP candidates correspond to one or more of the MVP candidates that cause the second 2N×N or N×2N PU to be merged into a 2N×2N PU are removed from the MVP candidate set.

Abstract: Techniques for fabricating contacts on inverted configuration surfaces of GaN layers of semiconductor devices are provided. An n-doped GaN layer may be formed with a surface exposed by removing a substrate on which the n-doped GaN layer was formed. The crystal structure of such a surface may have a significantly different configuration than the surface of an as-deposited p-doped GaN layer.
