The first patterned transparent sensing layer extends to the peripheral region, partially overlapping the decoration layer. The first insulation pattern is disposed in the peripheral region and located between the first patterned transparent sensing layer and the decoration layer, so that the first patterned transparent sensing layer and the decoration layer are not in contact with each other.

    Abstract: An embedded system includes an ARM processor and a number of b-bit peripheral processors connected to the ARM processor through a converting chip. The ARM processor includes pins P0˜Pa-1 divided into teams T1˜TN, each of which includes b pins, a and b are integral multiple of 8, wherein a=N×b. The number of the peripheral processors is N and each team corresponds to one peripheral processor. The converting chip reads an a-bit data from the ARM processor, converts the data into a plurality of b-bit data, and transfers each b-bit data to a peripheral processor, where the number of the b-bit data is N. The converting chip further reads one b-bit data from each peripheral processor in sequence, converts the read plurality of b-bit data into an a-bit data, and transfers the a-bit data to the ARM processor.

    Abstract: An over-current protection circuit for preventing a function module from over-current, the function module obtains power from a power source via an input port. The over-current protection circuit includes a path switch, a current detection circuit, a conductor switch, a first control module, and a second control module. The current detection circuit and the path switch form a loop with the input port and the function module. The current detection circuit detects a value of a current of the loop, and produces a first control signal when detecting the current of the loop is equal to or greater than a predetermined current value. The first control module turns off the conductor switch when receiving the first control signal. The second control module turns off the path switch when the conductor switch is turned off, thereby cutting off the loop.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for video coding and decoding with constrained PU partition are disclosed. In the High Efficient Video Coding (HEVC) system, rate-distortion function or other performance criterion usually is evaluated for various CU partition and PU partition during the encoding process in order to select a configuration with best possible performance. The PU design in the current HEVC development results in some redundancy that causes rate-distortion function or other performance criterion repeatedly evaluated for same PU configuration. Accordingly, constrained PU partition is developed to eliminate or reduce the redundancy in processing. Furthermore, necessary syntax to convey the information related to constrained PU partition between an encoder and a decoder is developed.

    Abstract: A method protects personal data of an electronic device. Different capacitance values between a plurality of points of a fingertip and an electrode layer of a capacitive touch screen of the electronic device are detectable when the capacitive touch screen is touched by the fingertip, and a representation of a fingerprint is acquired according to distribution of the detected capacitance values. If the acquired fingerprint does not match with any predetermined fingerprint, predetermined personal data of the electronic device is protected. If the acquired fingerprint matches with at least one of the predetermined fingerprints, the protection of the personal data is released.

The valve manifold box is operable to supply slurry from either or both of the first and second slurry piping loops to the CMP station.

    Abstract: Methods for filter-unit based in-loop filtering in a video decoder and encoder are disclosed. In one embodiment, filter parameters are selected from a filter parameter set for each filter based on a filter index. In another embodiment, the picture is partitioned into filter units according to filter unit size, which can be selected between a default size and other size. When other size is selected, the filter unit size may be conveyed using direct size information or ratio information. In another embodiment, a merge flag and a merge index are used to convey filter unit merge information. A method for filter-unit based in-loop filtering in a video encoder for color video is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method incorporates filter syntax in the video bitstream by interleaving the color-component filter syntax for the FUs.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for deriving a motion vector predictor (MVP) are disclosed. The MVP is selected from spatial MVP and temporal MVP candidates. The method uses a flag to indicate whether temporal MVP candidates are disabled. If the flag indicates that the temporal MVP candidates are disabled, the MVP is derived from the spatial MVP candidates only. Otherwise, the MVP is derived from the spatial and temporal MVP candidates. The method may further skip spatial redundant MVP removal by comparing MV values. Furthermore, the parsing error robustness scheme determines a forced temporal MVP when a temporal MVP is not available and the temporal MVP candidates are allowed as indicated by the flag. The flag may be incorporated in sequence, picture, slice level, or a combination of these levels.
