  • Publication number: 20040148538
Abstract: An apparatus and method is disclosed to compensate for skew and asymmetry of a locally processed system clock used to synchronize an output signal, e.g., a data signal or a timing signal, from a logic circuit, for example a memory device. A first phase detector, array of delay lock loop (DLL) delay elements and accompanying circuitry are disclosed to phase-lock the rising edge of the output signal with the rising edge of the system clock XCLK signal. Additionally, a comparator circuit, a register delay, an array of DLL delay elements and accompanying circuitry are disclosed to add or subtract delay from the falling edge of the DQ signal in order to produce a symmetrical output of the DQ signal.

  • Publication number: 20040143775
Abstract: A calibration circuit for calibrating the input data path of a digital circuit is disclosed. A simple string of a repeating data pattern such as, e.g., “1100,” is sent on the data path. The digital circuit captures the data using a clock signal, examines the data signal for the predetermined pattern and adjusts a delay applied to the data signal until the predetermined pattern is recognized. Then the delay is further adjusted until the predetermined pattern is no longer recognized indicating that an edge of the eye of the data is near a clocking edge of the clocking signal. The delay applied to the data signal is then further adjusted by a predetermined amount to position the clock edge near the center of the data eye.

  • Patent number: 6763444
Abstract: A number of embodiments of memory devices and methods of performing read/write timing calibration of these memory devices using a row or a redundant row. Addressing of the row or redundant row in a memory array of a memory device may be accomplished by using a calibration fuse bank to address a row or a redundant row of the memory array, by using a fuse bank of the memory device to address a redundant row of the memory array, or by storing the row address of a row in a memory controller and providing the row address to the memory device during calibration. A redundant row used for calibration may be a redundant row not utilized by a memory device during repair of its memory array. A row used for calibration may be a row not utilized by a memory device due to the nature of the specific application in which that memory device is being used. A unique data pattern may then be written to and read from the addressed row or redundant row for read/write timing calibration.

  • Patent number: 6761429
Abstract: A bulldozer-type cleaning system is provided for removing ink residue from an electrostatic drop detecting sensor which detects ink droplets contacting the detector. A scraper head scrapes the ink residue from the sensor, and then contacts a flexible, compliant cleaning member, illustrated as a coil spring. The spring is secured at each end and is stretched when pushed by the scraper head. This stretching flexation allows the spring to trap the ink residue between the coils. As the scraper head retracts, the resulting contracting flexation of the spring squeezes the ink residue from between the coils. Any ink residue remaining on the coils dries and then flakes off the coils when the spring is stretched again during the next cleaning stroke of the scraper head. An inkjet printing mechanism having such a cleaning system, and a method of cleaning a sensor are also provided.

  • Patent number: 6758422
Abstract: A spout plate used in a spray head of a sprayer includes a spout plate insertably secured at the spout end of the spray head and made from a slightly flexible rubber or plastic material such that multiple posts defining distinct water guide channels are provided annularly on the spout surface thereof. A center of the spout plate is connected to a center of the interior of the spray head. When the spout plate is insertably secured at the spout end of the front end of the spray head of the sprayer, and water flows through the interior of the spray head and flow out of the spout plate for spraying via the water guide channels of the posts provided on the spout plate, different water jets can be sprayed out from the water guide channels of the posts to thereby provide an extensive spraying area and multiple effects.

  • Patent number: 6758410
Abstract: A retaining supporter of a rotary sprinkler is disclosed. The retaining supporter has a cruciform cylindrical base at the lower half of the rotary sprinkler. Two plates with equal length are crossed with each other so as to form a cylindrical member with a cruciform cross section. The width of one plate is thicker than the other one, and the vertical surface of the wider plate is a curved surface and has a shape like an inverted triangle. When the lower half section of the fixing supporting element in inserted into the soil, it can be inserted easily. When the top section of the rotary sprinkler is connected with water pipe for water flow, the water flows through the interior of the fixing supporting element of the rotary sprinkler, so that water can be sprayed from the water outlet of the rotary sprinkler and moves the rotary sprinkler.

  • Publication number: 20040095838
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for controlling a data strobe. A latency of operation relating to a data operation of a device is determined. A delay lock loop signal is generated for the data operation of the device. The delay lock loop signal is compared to an external clock to determine a phase difference. A determination is made as to whether the delay lock loop signal is early based upon the phase difference. A signal is adjusted in response to the latency of operation is performed based upon the determination that the delay lock loop signal is early.

  • Patent number: 6726129
Abstract: A spray nozzle has a main rod extended from a handle. The main rod is formed with a locking hole. A fixing hole is formed aside the locking hole. A spring and a rolling ball are pre-mounted in the fixing hole. A second half dome shape joint of a nozzle is protruded with an annular locking seat. A periphery of the annular locking seat is formed with an annular recess which is exactly communicated to the water inlet of the nozzle. A center of the annular locking seat is formed with a pivotal hole which is coupled to the locking hole of the main rod. The annular locking seat of the nozzle has a plurality of limiting holes; thereby, the rolling balls in the fixing hole of the main rod being confined in the limiting holes. The orientation of the nozzle is adjustable with respect to the main rod.

  • Publication number: 20040078703
Abstract: By means for detecting offsets and gain differentials among signal distribution paths, phase shifts of sampling clocks supplied to a plurality of A/D converters, and frequency-dependence of the transfer function and phase response of signal paths, errors due to these factors are detected. Based on the detected values of these factors and errors, using reference signals, test data errors are compensated.

  • Patent number: 6724670
Abstract: A shared redundancy prefetch scheme to provide a reduced number of fuses. DDR SDRAMs allow burst addressing at various burst lengths. DDR SDRAMs generally implement LEFT and RIGHT segment column addressing. In DDR SDRAMs which implement redundant memory arrays, fuses may be used to provide access to the redundant columns. Because burst addressing may begin with a RIGHT segment address, two different columns may be accessed on the same clock cycle. By providing a compare scheme which implements separate compare logic for the lower bits of the LEFT and RIGHT segments and compares these bits to a common fuse set used for both the LEFT and RIGHT segments, the number of fuses in the redundant DDR SDRAM scheme can be reduced.
