    Abstract: A method of extracting organelles from cells includes following process. A plurality of cells and a solution are mixed uniformly to obtain a mixture. The mixture is loaded into a container. The container is placed in a milling device comprising a miller and a mechanical power source connected to the miller. The miller is immersed into the mixture within the container. The mixture is milled by the miller to obtain a homogenized mixture, wherein a milling parameter is provided to the milling device, and the mechanical power source drives the miller according to the milling parameter. The homogenized mixture is centrifuged to obtain a supernatant. The supernatant is centrifuged to obtain a precipitate with a plurality of organelles. In the process that the mixture is milled by the miller, at least a part of the miller is kept in the mixture.

    Abstract: A backlight component includes a back plate, a fastening module, a light source and a light-guiding plate. The fastening module includes a first plate, a second plate and a third plate. The first plate, the second plate and the third plate define a receiving space. The light source is securely assembled at one side of the second plate and facing toward the receiving space. The light-guiding plate is slidably assembled in the receiving space of the fastening module, and sandwiched between the first plate and the third plate. Accordingly, when the thickness of the light-guiding plate is changed, only the second plate of the fastening module need be changed; additionally, the length of the fastening module can be normalized to apply for display devices with different sizes. Consequently, the manufacturing cost of display devices can be reduced, and the fastening module is applicable to different kinds of display devices.

    Abstract: This invention is related to a novel sugar-like chemical composition and its use for diabetes therapy. Particularly, the present invention teaches the use of monosaccharide-like glycylated sugar alcohol compounds to block or reduce sugar absorption in diabetes patients, so as to prevent the risk of hyperglycemia symptoms. Glycylation of sugar alcohols is a totally novel reaction that has never been reported before. Therefore, the novelty of the present invention is that for the first time glycylated sugar alcohols not only was found but also was found to be useful for treating Diabetes mellitus. In addition, the present invention teaches a method for producing these glycylated sugar alcohols. In sum, the present invention includes not only a kind of novel sugar-like chemical compositions and its use for treating diabetes but also a state-of-the-art protocol and methodology for producing such a novel composition via glycylation of sugars and sugar alcohols.

The techniques may include sending a route advertisement to advertise one or more media access control (MAC) routes for the layer two segment. The techniques may also include, responsive to determining a link failure between a first provider edge network device and a customer edge network device, sending a withdrawal message to the second provider edge network device for the route associated with the segment identifier to withdraw all of the plurality of MAC routes at the second provider edge network device.

    Abstract: Embodiments of mechanisms for forming dislocations in source and drain regions of finFET devices are provided. The mechanisms involve recessing fins and removing the dielectric material in the isolation structures neighboring fins to increase epitaxial regions for dislocation formation. The mechanisms also involve performing a pre-amorphous implantation (PAI) process either before or after the epitaxial growth in the recessed source and drain regions. An anneal process after the PAI process enables consistent growth of the dislocations in the source and drain regions. The dislocations in the source and drain regions (or stressor regions) can form consistently to produce targeted strain in the source and drain regions to improve carrier mobility and device performance for NMOS devices.
