  • Patent number: 9803633
Abstract: An air compressor includes an air storage unit defining a first chamber and a cylinder containing a piston body. The top wall of the cylinder is formed with a tubular projection defining a bore to serve as a second pressure chamber. When the piston head of the piston body is almost in contact with the top wall of the cylinder, part of the compressed air can enter the second pressure chamber, so that the piston body can conduct reciprocation motion more smoothly. Furthermore, the cylinder has an open bottom that is divided into two halves according to a central vertical line of the cylinder, wherein one half of the open bottom is horizontal while the other half of the open bottom is slanted. When the piston body is at BDC, the piston head will be entirely within the cylinder and thus keep gas-tight with the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 9803632
Abstract: An air compressor of weight-reduction type is disclosed, wherein the bearing and the main housing thereof are formed integrally, so that when the piston body conducts reciprocating motion within the cylinder at high frequencies, the bearing is firmly fixed on the main housing without nonfunctioning or falling off. Furthermore, the main housing and the cylinder thereof are made of plastic and formed integrally. The main housing is formed with a wind collecting hood to facilitate the air flow being introduced through the main housing for rapidly dissipating the heat generated by the bearing and the heat generated from the reciprocating motion of the piston body. Accordingly, the manufacturing cost of the air compressor can be reduced to achieve an economical design, and the weight of the air compressor can be reduced to facilitate the compressor being carried onto a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9797394
Abstract: An improved air compressor includes a cylinder fitted with a piston body and an air storage container. The cylinder and the air storage container are detachably assembled to define an air chamber. A metal seat with a through hole is provided on top of the cylinder. A valve plug is spring-biased against the metal seat. The air storage container is provided with a pressure indicator, which includes a tube defining therein a first bore and a second bore, between which a tapered annular surface is formed. When the air pressure within the air storage container exceeds a predetermined pressure set for the air compressor, the pressure indicator allows excess air to flow into the first bore of the tube and sequentially pass through the tapered annular surface and an elongated opening to be released to the ambient environment, so that objects can be prevented from damages due to excessive inflations.

  • Patent number: 9759207
Abstract: An air compressor includes an air storage container, a cylinder fitted with a piston body and a main frame for mounting a motor. The cylinder and the main frame are integrally formed of plastic. The air storage container is detachably mounted to the cylinder. The main frame is provided with though holes for guiding the air flow, generated by a cooling fan, to flow through the main frame. The main frame is formed with two lateral walls and a bottom wall to form a U-shaped wind collecting shell. The second portion of the main frame is held by multiple radial braces, which facilitates the air flow being introduced through the main frame for rapidly dissipating the heat generated from the reciprocating motion of the piston body, so that the operational security can be increased. The non-metal air compressor may lead to a reduction of the manufacturing cost and the weight.

  • Publication number: 20170248132
Abstract: An improved air compressor includes a cylinder fitted with a piston body, a main frame for mounting a motor, and an air storage container. The cylinder defines at its top wall a plurality of exit holes, which are separated by a plurality of blocking walls and regulated by a resilient sheet having a plurality of branches corresponding to the exit holes. When the compressed air produced in the cylinder pushes the resilient sheet up to open the exit holes, the instantaneous high-pressure air that flows through the exit holes can be restrained by the air blocking walls to prevent the air from interfering with movements of the branches of the resilient sheet, so that the piston body can conduct reciprocating motion more smoothly and thus the performance of the air compressor can be increased.

Abstract: An improved air compressor includes a cylinder fitted with a piston body, a main frame for mounting a motor, and an air storage container. The cylinder defines a plurality of exit holes regulated by a control mechanism including a resilient sheet having a root and a plurality branches corresponding to the exit holes. • Patent number: 9677961
Abstract: A pressure indicator with a pressure-relief function is disclosed, which can release excessive pressure to the environment. The pressure indicator includes a transparent tube defining therein a first bore and a second bore, and a slider which can be forced by the medium supplied from an external pressure source to move along the first and second bores of the transparent tube. In particular, the first bore has a diameter greater than the second bore, and a tapered annular surface is provided between the first bore and the second bore of the transparent tube. When the pressure of the medium exceeds a predetermined pressure, the slider can be forced by the medium to reach the tapered annular surface, at which excessive medium can be released into the environment via an annular gap between the slider and the tapered annular surface.

  • Patent number: 9664187
Abstract: A pen-type pressure indicator, which can be detachably connected to an air compressor for measuring the pressure of compressed air produced in the air compressor, includes a transparent tube and a slider. The slider can be moved along a first bore and a second bore of the transparent tube. The motion of the slider in the transparent tube is similar to the motion of a piston in a cylinder. The transparent tube is provided with a tapered annular surface, between the first bore and the second bore. In addition to measuring the pressure of the compressed air delivered to an object, when the pressure of the compressed air exceeds a predetermined pressure, excessive air can be released into the environment, without requiring the air compressor to be installed with a safety valve, so that the object can be protected from damages due to overpressure.

  • Publication number: 20170126099
Abstract: An electric motor generally includes a housing, a cover, and a cooling fan. The cover defines multiple inlet holes and is formed integrally with an air collecting ring around the inlet holes so as to provide an airflow path for allowing a central portion of the air current generated by the cooling fan to enter the housing. The housing defines a plurality of communication holes and a plurality of outlet holes for allowing the air which has entered the housing to flow thereout. In addition, the present invention provides another path so that an outer portion of the air current can flow along the outer surface of the housing to reduce the temperature of the housing. Through multiple paths for heat dissipation, heat is not easy to accumulate in the housing of the electric motor.
