Abstract: A housing for electronic device, comprising: a metal substrate, the substrate having a bonding surface, a peripheral edge, and a ridge protruding from the peripheral edge and surrounding the bonding surface; a soft layer soft to the touch, the soft layer having an edge; and an adhesive layer located between the bonding surface of the substrate and the soft layer, thereby bonding the soft layer to the substrate, the ridge of the substrate blocking the edge of the soft layer. A method for making the present housing is also provided.

Abstract: A method for inlaying a gold ornament is disclosed. A substrate is provided which has an outer surface. A groove is defined in the substrate through the outer surface. A gold ornament is manufactured. The gold ornament has substantially the same shape as the groove. The gold ornament is placed in the groove wherein is positioned with metallic solder. Then the substrate is heated, whereby the melting and subsequent cooling of the solder bonds the gold ornament to the substrate. A housing for electronic device inlaid with a gold ornament made by the present method is also provided.

Abstract: A heat sink has a conducting heat seat, multiple heat pipes and multiple heat dissipating fins. The heat pipes are mounted through the conducting heat seat and each heat pipe has a central portion and two distal portions. The central portion is flat. The distal portions on one side of the conducting heat seat lined zigzag. The flat central portions and zigzag lined distal portions allow more heat pipes to be mounted through the seat per unit area. The heat dissipating fins are separately mounted on the first conducting distal portions of the heat pipes to transfer heat to the atmosphere.

Abstract: A housing with a soft surface device (100) includes a substrate (10), a primer coating (20) formed on a surface of the substrate, a decorative coating (30) formed on the primer coating, and a top coating (40) formed on the decorative coating and configured for protecting the decorative coating. The primer coating is made of a first resin paint containing a polyamide component. The decorative coating is made of a second resin paint. The top coating is made of a third resin paint. Both the second resin paint and the third resin paint contain an isocyanate polymer and/or reaction products of the isocyanate polymer with hydroxyl groups. A method for making a housing is also provided.

Abstract: A method for power load management is provided in the present invention, wherein two different standard values are determined to be a basis for regulating power consumption. When power consumption exceeds a first standard value, a monitoring procedure is started to monitor consumption status. If the power consumption exceeds a second standard value, an unloading procedure is processed to reduce the power consumption of electrical devices under operation. In another embodiment, the present invention also provides a system for power load management comprising a control unit coupled to at least one electrical device and a power meter. By means of real-time recording of power consumption in the power meter, the control unit is capable of determining the power consumption status and determining whether it is necessary to unload or reload the at least one electrical device.

Abstract: A keypad assembly, comprising: a main body made of metal, the main body defining a plurality of slots and the slots enclosing a plurality of pressing buttons thereon, each pressing button defining at least one symbol slot, the main body having a contact surface and a operating surface; and a light-transmissive filling member, the filling member defining a plurality of protruding strips and the protruding strips enclosing a plurality of button areas thereon, each button area having at least one symbol block protruding therefrom, the filling member bonding to the contact surface with the protruding strips and the symbol blocks respectively engaging in the corresponding slots and the symbol slots. A method for making the present keypad assembly is also described.

A light beam enters the light guide through the light entering surface, is reflected by the meshed spots, and exits the light guide through the light emitting surface.

Abstract: A fastener has a rod body that has a proximal end, a distal end, a head and an engaging segment. The head is formed on the proximal end. The engaging segment is formed between the proximal end and the distal end and has multiple teeth formed around the engaging segment. The rod body has a diameter gradually decreasing from the proximal end to the distal end. Accordingly, the fastener is convenient in combining two boards without using any tool.

Abstract: A rail assembly has a bracket, a base, a rail body and at least one bolt. The bracket is securely mounted on a surface of a furniture and has a top surface, a fastening tab protruding from the top surface and at least one fixing hole. The fixing hole is formed through the fastening tab. The base has a bottom surface, a mounting tab protruding from the bottom surface of the base and at least one mounting hole, wherein the bottom surface and the mounting tab correspond to the top surface and the fastening tab. The mounting hole is formed through the mounting tab. The rail body is securely mounted on the base. Accordingly, the rail assembly can be conveniently assembled without using any tool.

Abstract: A rail assembly has at least two hangers, a base and a rail body. Each hanger is a straight slot and has a narrow side and a clamp side longitudinal forming on the hanger. The clamp side is wider than the narrow side. The base has a base body and at least two mounting troughs. The mounting troughs are securely mounted on the base body and each mounting trough corresponds to and is slidably mounted on one of the hangers. The rail body is mounted on the base body. It is only to hang the assembled rail body with the base onto the hangers for assembling the rail assembly without using any tool, so to assemble the rail assembly is easy and convenient.

The rear panel has a top board and a bottom board. The side panels are mounted parallelly and detachably mounted to the rear panel, the main shelf, the pedestal assembly and the top panel independently using dowels or clasp connectors. Further, the bottom board is hinged to the top board, so that the footprint of the folded rear panel is reduced for transport and storage. Furthermore, the RTA modular cabinet can be assembled and disassembled easily without needing tools.

The florescent powders causes that light emitted from the chip and then passing through the transparent body will present as white light. The chip is a blue-light light emitting chip or an ultraviolet-light light emitting chip and the florescent powders is yellow florescent powders. The supporting frame has two pins. The transparent body is made by at least one of silicide gel, glass, epoxy resin, and epoxy resin with silicide. The transparent body encloses a part of the supporting frame.
