  • Publication number: 20190242801
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for fitting a tablet testing device with a calibration unit. The calibration unit allows of calibrating and adjusting the velocity or breaking force of a breaking jaw of such tablet testing device, for determining the breaking hardness of tablets. The invention allows of calibrating the velocity of movement of the breaking jaw and the breaking hardness applied in timely intervals, as to comply with modern quality control standards for pharmaceutical instruments of measurement. The device is employed for temporarily fitting a tablet testing device for calibration, and is mounted onto the tablet testing device only for the purpose of conducting calibration runs, whilst storing the bulky and huge calibration device separate from the tablet testing device during times of normal operation.

  • Patent number: 10161828
Abstract: In a method for calibrating a polarization axis measuring device, both flat sides of a calibration element in a polarization axis measuring device are irradiated with polarized light, wherein the method involves aligning in each case at least one polarization direction of the light in a first and/or second rotational position with a principal axis in a predefined angular relationship with respect to a polarization axis of the calibration element. Determining the rotational position of an axis of the calibration element is carried out by determining an angle bisector between the first and second rotational positions of the polarization direction of the incident light. The method involves assigning a predefined angle value for the rotational position of the principal axis of the polarization direction for which the latter is in the predefined angular relationship with respect to the axis of the calibration element inserted as intended.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for calculating or optimizing a spectacle lens for at least one eye of a spectacle wearer. Refraction data of the at least one eye of the spectacle wearer is collected. An individual eye model is defined, wherein the eye model defines at least the topography of a corneal front surface of the at least one eye, position and power of a lens of the eye, and a retina position of the eye such that the eye exhibits the collected refraction data. A first surface and a second surface for the spectacle lens to be calculated or optimized is specified. The path of a main ray through at least one visual point of at least one spectacle lens surface to be calculated or optimized is determined. A spherical wavefront incident on the first surface of the spectacle lens along the main ray is specified.
