  • Patent number: 11441383
Abstract: Disclosed herein are various embodiments of an Annular Pressure Control Diverter designed to be positioned below the conventional blowout preventer stack, and which will be activated during near balanced drilling operations to seal the annulus between the drill pipe and the production casing. Returned drilling fluid and produced fluids are diverted up the annulus between the production casing and intermediate casing and through a well head located below an all-inclusive BOP stack. The Annular Pressure Control Diverter does not rotate, and some embodiments have an elliptical internal cavity which ensures that the elliptical seals cannot rotate. Doors are provided on each side of the Annular Pressure Control Diverter to permit changing of the seal elements. Door locking mechanisms are provided for operator safety.

  • Patent number: 11428544
Abstract: Apparatuses and sensor systems are described with magnetoresistive sensor configurations. The method of detecting a displacement of a magnetic component includes monitoring, via a position sensor operating in a low-powered mode, a magnetic field emitted by a magnetic component. The monitored characteristics of the magnetic field vary based at least in part on a displacement of the magnetic component. The method also includes determining, via the position sensor, whether the monitored characteristics of the magnetic field satisfy an activation criteria. The method further includes increasing the power of the position sensor to a high-powered mode to determine the displacement of the magnetic component upon determining that the monitored characteristics of the magnetic field satisfy the activation criteria. Corresponding position sensing systems are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11426730
Abstract: A well plate assembly with an interior channel system in the well plate lid provides a more efficient and uniform distribution of fluid into a receptacle positioned below the well plate lid. The channel system in the lid allows air, or other fluid, to pass through with the use of a pump to each of a plurality of channels in the receptacle. Inlet and outlet valves in the lid prevent a gasket positioned between the lid and the receptacle from releasing contact with the receptacle due to high pressure experienced during the injection of fluid into the assembly. Specifically, pressure under a specified tolerance passes through the inlet valves, and if the pressure within the channel system exceeds the limit of the outlet valve, the outlet valve opens and allows air to escape the lid safely without disturbing the fluid flow into the channels below.

  • Patent number: 11422597
Abstract: Thermal control of a multi-chip module in an operating environment is facilitated by predetermining separate thermal control points for multiple chips of the multi-chip module, with a first chip and a second chip having different predetermined thermal control points, and saving the predetermined thermal control points for reference by a thermal control of the multi-chip module in an operating environment. The thermal control monitors an operating temperature of the first chip, and compares the operating temperature of the first chip to the predetermined thermal control point of that chip. The thermal control further initiates a control action to control temperature of the first chip based on comparing the operating temperature of the first chip to the predetermined thermal control point of the first chip.

  • Publication number: 20220260316
Abstract: A heat exchanger comprising a plurality of A channels in a heat exchanger matrix running in a first direction wherein each A channel is formed along its length as a waveform with an identical wavelength, channel width, wave angle, and wall thickness. Adjacent A channels running in an orthogonal direction are 180 degrees out of phase. The plurality of A channels form the plurality of B channels running in a cross-flow direction with the outer walls of the A channels. The B channels exist as the negative space between adjacent 180 degree out of phase A channels.

  • Publication number: 20220257394
Abstract: Implantable stents that include strips that are each comprised of main struts connected by first connectors, and adjacent strips are connected by second connectors. The strut connectors have a structure, including areas of expanded or reduced width or thickness, to account for venous applications. When used for venous applications, the stents convey benefit from configurations that improve flexibility (due to the greater elasticity of venous applications) while maintaining enough stiffness to resist pressure on the venous structure in selected areas (such as for the May-Thurner syndrome). The stents include particular structural characteristics that are particularly advantageous for (although not limited to) venous applications.

  • Publication number: 20220261650
Abstract: An end-to-end low-precision training system based on a multi-base logarithmic number system and a multiplicative weight update algorithm. The multi-base logarithmic number system is applied to update weights of the neural network, with different bases of the multi-base logarithmic number system utilized between calculation of weight updates, calculation of feed-forward signals, and calculation of feedback signals. The LNS expresses a high dynamic range and computational energy efficiency, making it advantageous for on-board training in energy-constrained edge devices.

  • Publication number: 20220251587
Abstract: Methods and compositions are provided for the improvement of double-strand-break-inducing agent activity in eukaryotic cells, through the usage of one or more morphogenic factors or developmental genes. The morphogenic factor may be provided to the same cell or to a different cell than that comprising or receiving the double-strand-break-inducing agent. The morphogenic factor may be provided to a cell as a polynucleotide composition on a recombinant vector, and may be placed on the vector outside of a T-DNA border. The morphogenic factor may be provided via an upregulation of an endogenous gene. The morphogenic factor, or the double-strand-break-inducing agent, may further comprise a cell penetrating peptide. The morphogenic factor may be co-introduced with a vector comprising RepA.

  • Patent number: 11395624
Abstract: Monitoring system configured to provide a health chart on an operator display. The health chart includes a plurality of indicators that identify patient parameters. The plurality of indicators form a column that extends parallel to a first axis. The health chart also includes linear projections that are aligned with respective indicators and extend parallel to a second axis that is perpendicular to the first axis. The linear projections represent values of the patient parameters that correspond to the respective indicators. The values are determined by the physiological data obtained from corresponding sensors. The patient monitoring system is configured to determine lengths of the linear projections based on the physiological data. The lengths extend from proximal ends of the linear projections to distal ends of the linear projections. The distal ends move parallel to the second axis toward or away from the respective indicators to change the length.
