  • Publication number: 20250206436
Abstract: An aircraft including a wing with a fixed wing portion and a wing tip device rotatably hingedly attached at a fixed wing portion outboard end. The wing includes a wing fold mechanism configured to actuate the wing tip device to rotate relative to the fixed wing portion to at least three commanded and predetermined wing fold angles and to restrain rotational movement of the wing tip device at each commanded position. A first position corresponds to high-speed flying, a second position to ground-based operations and a third position to low-speed flying. The flying positions rotate the wing tip to a position where upper and lower wing tip surfaces are continuations of the upper and lower surfaces of the fixed wing, with a low-speed incidence angle being less than a high-speed incidence angle. The ground-based position reduces the wing span to the greatest degree of the three positions.

  • Patent number: 12342173
Abstract: In an example, a provider system receives from a user device a request for user access through a checkpoint. The provider system sends to the user device a request for identification information of the user. The provider system receives user information associated with a mobile identification credential (MIC) which the user device received from an authorizing party system (APS), the user having consented to release the user information to the provider system, and the user information having been verified by the APS. The provider system uses the verified user information associated with the MIC to verify or not verify the identity of the user. The provider system verifies the identity of the user before granting the user the request for user access through the checkpoint.

  • Patent number: 12336675
Abstract: Embodiments provide a method for obstacle avoidance in a mobile robot. Images of objects are captured with mobile robot image sensors with a floor level perspective. Data corresponding to the images is used to train a neural network. The identified objects are classified by indicating whether the objects are a potential hazard. In one embodiment, an image sensor on a robot provides intensity and depth data for each of a plurality of pixels of the images. The intensity and depth data are fused to produce fused data. The fused data is then used to train the neural network.

  • Patent number: 12340967
Abstract: Techniques for adjusting the shape of an ion beam are described. Characteristics of a desired beam shape may be defined. The ion beam generator may include beam shaping elements associated with tunable parameters that can be set in combination with each other. A search space for the possible combinations is defined. A set of exploratory points in the search space are measured and used to interpolate a large number of interpolated points based on a regression model. Interpolated points that are associated with low confidence values may be measured. Based on the measured and interpolated points, clusters of tunable parameter combinations may be identified for evaluation. The clusters are evaluated for stability and sensitivity, and one of the clusters is selected based on the evaluation. The ion beam generator may be configured based on the selected cluster.
