    Abstract: Non-terrestrial networks (NTNs) may establish uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) radio frame timing structures to efficiently account for propagation delay and propagation delay variation associated with communications in the NTN. NTNs may manage (synchronize) radio frame timing structures of base stations (e.g., satellites) and user equipment (UEs) in the NTN. Further, UEs may determine timing advance (TA) values to be applied to UL transmissions based on their respective scheduling offset (e.g., offset in UL and DL radio frame timing structures), as well as based on propagation delay or round trip time (RTT). As such, served UEs may determine UL timing such that UL transmissions from the UEs to a satellite arrives at the satellite in a time synchronized manner. In other cases, a satellite may determine UL timing, based on reception timing, such that various UEs in the NTN may implement uniform UL and DL radio frame timing structures.

In some aspects, a network node may transmit, and a user equipment (UE) may receive, signaling that indicates at least a first random access channel (RACH) occasion (RO) partition and a second RO partition. The first RO partition may be associated with different uplink transmission capabilities than the second RO partition. The UE may select an RO in the first RO partition or the second RO partition based at least in part on a metric that relates to an uplink transmission capability of the UE. The UE may transmit, and the network node may receive, a preamble in the selected RO to initiate a RACH procedure. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Techniques, systems, and devices are described for providing a computational frame for estimating high-dimensional stochastic behaviors. In one exemplary aspect, a method for performing numerical estimation includes receiving a set of measurements of a stochastic behavior. The set of correlated measurements follows a non-standard probability distribution and is non-linearly correlated. Also, a non-linear relationship exists between a set of system variables that describes the stochastic behavior and a corresponding set of measurements. The method includes determining, based on the set of measurements, a numerical model of the stochastic behavior. The numerical model comprises a feature space comprising non-correlated features corresponding to the stochastic behavior. The non-correlated features have a dimensionality of M and the set of measurements has a dimensionality of N, M being smaller than N.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a heat treatment method for realizing grain boundary serration in a nickel-based superalloy forging, including introducing a serrated grain boundary into a microstructure of a nickel-based superalloy forging by using a heat treatment method for controlling a cooling rate; the heat treatment method for controlling cooling speed includes the following steps: step S1: holding the nickel-based superalloy forging for 0.5-4 h at 1,050-1,200° C.; step S2: cooling the nickel-based superalloy forging to 650-800° C. at a preset cooling rate, and holding for 1-8 h, where the preset cooling rate is 1-20° C./min; and step S3, taking out and cooling the nickel-based superalloy forging to room temperature with water. The heat treatment method for realizing grain boundary serration in a nickel-based superalloy forging provided by the present disclosure can realize the grain boundary serration in the nickel-based superalloy forging.
