  • Patent number: 10256955
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for design of synchronization signals for narrowband operation, which can be used for stand-alone/in-band/guard-band deployment. An example method is provided for operations which may be performed by a base station (BS). The example method generally includes generating a primary synchronization signal (PSS) utilizing a first code sequence and a cover code applied to the first code sequence over a first number of symbols within one or more subframes, generating a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) based on a second code sequence over a second number of symbols within one or more subframes, and transmitting the PSS and the SSS in the first and second subframes to a first type of a user equipment (UE) that communicates on one or more narrowband regions of wider system bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20190104434
Abstract: Disclosed are a data transmission method, apparatus and system for realizing, when a UE is in a non-connected state, that shunting transmission of a local service can be completed, and that the use efficiency of a wireless resource can be improved. The data transmission method comprises: after a data packet sent by a local service server is received by an MEC server, when it is determined that a UE for receiving the data packet is in an RRC non-connected state, sending the data packet corresponding to the UE to a P-GW so as to trigger a paging process of the UE; and the MEC server querying, in a pre-set duration, downlink bearer information for transmitting the data packet to the UE, and when the downlink bearer information is found, sending the data packet according to the downlink bearer information.

  • Patent number: 10249893
Abstract: Disclosed are fuel cell architectures, fuel cell stack monitoring systems, and control logic for detecting fluid property changes in a fuel cell stack. A method is disclosed for detecting a flow property change of a fluid in a fuel cell system. This method includes determining, e.g., through system analysis or accessing a look-up table, a correlation between voltage change of the fuel cell system and flow property of the fluid, and determining, from the voltage-property correlation, a calibrated voltage drop corresponding to the property change of the fluid. The method monitors system voltage (e.g., moving average voltage of the fuel cell stack operating at steady state), and detecting a voltage magnitude change in the system voltage, e.g., when an anode exhaust valve is opened. Responsive to the voltage magnitude change being greater than the calibrated voltage drop, a signal is generated indicating detection of the flow property change.

  • Patent number: 10250263
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a voltage oscillator (VCO) that uses a replica bias circuit to generate a cascode bias voltage. The VCO generate an output periodic signal having a frequency and phase that is less or not susceptible to voltage swings by using a bias voltage generated in a replica bias circuit that replicates a voltage-to-current converter in the VOC. The bias voltage is generated and regulated according to a power supply voltage that supplies power to the VCO to account for voltage variations in the power supply voltage.

  • Patent number: 10217402
Abstract: Methods and devices useful in compensating for VDD and VTH variations in a micro light-emitting diode (micro-LED) display are provided. By way of example, an LED driver includes a first transistor having a first source coupled to an upper voltage rail (VDD), a first gate, and a first drain. The LED driver includes a second transistor having a second source coupled to the first drain of the first transistor, a second gate, and a second drain coupled to the LED. The second transistor is configured to receive the drive current signal from the first transistor and supply the drive current signal to the LED. The LED driver includes compensation circuitry configured to adjust the drive current signal such that the drive current signal is independent of the upper voltage rail (VDD) and a threshold voltage (VTH) of the first transistor or the second transistor.

  • Patent number: 10192029
Abstract: System and methods are provided for performing privacy-preserving, high-performance, and scalable DNA read mapping on hybrid clouds including a public cloud and a private cloud. The systems and methods offer strong privacy protection and have the capacity to process millions of reads and allocate most of the workload to the public cloud at a small overall cost. The systems and methods perform seeding on the public cloud using keyed hash values of individual sequencing reads' seeds and then extend matched seeds on the private cloud. The systems and methods are designed to move the workload of read mapping from the extension stage to the seeding stage, thereby ensuring that the dominant portion of the overhead is shouldered by the public cloud.

  • Publication number: 20180375896
Abstract: System and method for detecting an infected website are disclosed. A semantic finder receives top-level domains and identifies keywords of the top-level domains representing a predetermined semantics. The keywords are compared with irrelevant bad terms to find at least one irrelevant term. An inconsistency searcher searches the top-level domains and detects at least one fully-qualified domain name carrying the at least one irrelevant term. A context analyzer evaluates context information associated with the irrelevant term, identifies at least one frequently-used term identified in the context information, and determines whether the at least one frequently-used term is unrelated to a generic content of the at least one fully-qualified domain name An irrelevant bad term collector extracts the at least one frequently-used term unrelated to the generic content and adds the extracted frequently-used term to an irrelevant bad term list for detecting the infected website.

  • Publication number: 20180316280
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to nanogenerator technology, and discloses a method and a circuit for energy management in a Triboelectric Nanogenerator (TENG), as well as an apparatus including the circuit. The method includes: storing electrical energy outputted from the TENG temporarily in a temporary energy storage; and transferring the electrical energy stored temporarily in the temporary energy storage to an energy storage. With the above solution, the temporary energy storage can be charged and discharged periodically, so as to charge the energy storage. It is possible to achieve impedance match between the TENG and the energy storage and thus a significantly improved energy storage efficiency, such that an AC outputted from the TENG can be converted into a constant-voltage DC output efficiently.

  • Publication number: 20180227900
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure implement techniques to allow a base station to transmit a “short-page” message (e.g., paging indicators) to one or more UEs. The short-page message may be decoded by all UEs in the paging cycle and identifies a subset of UEs from the full set of UEs that are paged by the base station. Upon decoding the short page transmitted by the base station, the UE may respond with a “short-page response” to the base station on a transmit beam that offers best signal quality (e.g., low signal-to-noise ratio, transmit power, etc.). Thus, in some examples, the UE, in response to receiving a short paging message, may provide feedback to the base station such that the base station may select a transmit beam for transmission for a subsequent message (and other communications).
