Abstract: The present disclosure include acquiring, by a TDF entity, a correlation identifier of a data flow of an application borne by the TDF entity; and sending, by the TDF entity, first charging information to a charging system, where the first charging information carries the correlation identifier of the data flow of the application borne by the TDF entity, so that the charging system performs, according to the correlation identifier of the data flow of the application borne by the TDF entity and a correlation identifier of a data flow borne by a PCEF entity, correlation processing for the first charging information and second charging information that is sent by the PCEF entity to the charging system, where the second charging information carries the correlation identifier of the data flow borne by the PCEF entity. Thereby, accurate charging can be performed for the data flow and the application.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for information exchange in online charging in order to reduce frequency of information exchange between a Charging Trigger Function (CTF) device and an Online Charging System (OCS), and reduce a pressure of information transmission between the CTF device and the OCS, where the method includes receiving, by a CTF device, a credit control answer (CCA) message that carries a non-real-time Trigger and sent by an OCS, recording, by the CTF device, charging information before and after a corresponding event of the non-real-time Trigger happens each time before sending a credit control request (CCR) message to the OCS next time, and sending, by the CTF device, the CCR message to the OCS.

Abstract: A policy and charging rules function (PCRF) device includes a memory storage comprising instructions, at least one network interface, and at least one processor coupled to the memory and to the at least one network interface. The instructions are executed by the at least one processor to receive a policy request of a first user sent by a gateway device; determine, according to the policy request, that the first user needs to use a counter of a second user; acquire a current status of the counter of the second user using a session of the second user established between the PCRF device and a charging system; and generate a control policy of the first user according to the current status of the counter of the second user and send the control policy to the gateway device.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for processing a rate group, a method for charging for a data service, and a related device and system, so as to enable a charging system to accurately charge for the data service when the rate group changes. The method includes: determining, by a gateway device, whether a rate group of a service data stream changes; and if the rate group of the service data stream changes, reporting, by the gateway device, charging data to the charging system, so that the charging system performs charging according to the charging data, where the charging data includes service usage information and a reporting reason for reporting the charging data, and the reporting reason indicates a change of the rate group.

Abstract: A method for charging an inter-Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) roaming data service online, and a device are presented. The method includes, after determining that an access subscriber is a roaming subscriber, establishing, by a visited-place packet data network gateway, an online charging session for the access subscriber; determining a first charging information parameter list; sending, to a home online charging system, a first quota request message that carries a rating group; receiving a roaming data service quota of the rating group sent by the home online charging system; and sending first charging information to the home online charging system according to the first charging information parameter list. The disclosed embodiments can simplify a network connection between a visited-place PGW and an OCS of another operator that has a roaming agreement with the visited-place operator, reduce network connection complexity, and improve network connection efficiency.
