    Abstract: After forming a laterally contacting pair of a semiconductor fin and a conductive strap structure having a base portion vertically contacting a deep trench capacitor embedded in a substrate and a fin portion laterally contacting the semiconductor fin, conducting spikes that are formed on the sidewalls of the deep trench are removed or pushed deeper into the deep trench. Subsequently, a dielectric cap that inhibits epitaxial growth of a semiconductor material thereon is formed over at least a portion of the base portion of the conductive strap structure. The dielectric cap can be formed either over an entirety of the base portion having a stepped structure or on a distal portion of the base portion.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a reflective flexible liquid crystal display, which includes: an upper flexible substrate (1), a lower flexible substrate (3) arranged opposite to the upper flexible substrate (1), a layer of liquid crystal (5) filled between the upper flexible substrate (1) and the lower flexible substrate (3), a circular polarization sheet (7) arranged on an upper surface of the upper flexible substrate (1), and a flexible light guide plate (9) arranged on an upper surface of the circular polarization sheet (7). The upper flexible substrate (1) and the flexible light guide plate (9) are both transparent and the lower flexible substrate (3) includes a reflector layer (37) formed thereon. The reflective flexible liquid crystal display has a simple structure, allowing the liquid crystal display to be applied to flexible displaying.

The first light-transmissive portion and the second light-transmissive portions have different refractive indexes. A contact surface of each of the second light-transmissive portions with the first light-transmissive portion includes an inclined surface neither parallel nor perpendicular to the light incident surface of the first light-transmissive portion, and at least a part of light rays perpendicularly incident from the light incident surface does not strike on the inclined surface and exits from the light exit surface. By the above solution, the invention can reduce image blurriness while enlarging viewing angle.

A cavity overlying the conductive strap structure is filled a dielectric material to form a dielectric capacitor cap having a top surface that is coplanar with a topmost surface of an upper pad layer. A semiconductor mandrel in lateral contact with the dielectric capacitor cap is formed. The combination of the dielectric capacitor cap and the semiconductor mandrel is employed as a protruding structure around which a fin-defining spacer is formed. The semiconductor mandrel is removed, and the fin-defining spacer is employed as an etch mask in an etch process that etches a lower pad layer and the top semiconductor layer to form a semiconductor fin that laterally wraps around the conductive strap structure. An access finFET is formed employing two parallel portions of the semiconductor fin.
