    Abstract: An ANPC inverter, a zero-crossing switching method and a zero-crossing switching apparatus of the ANPC inverter are provided. The method includes: controlling switch states of switch devices in a bridge leg to change according to a preset logic when zero-crossing switching occurs in an output voltage instruction of the bridge leg, so as to prevent overvoltage in the switch device in the bridge leg. The preset logic includes switching among a sequence of switch state combinations. Switch state combinations of the switch devices before and after the zero-crossing switching occurs are defined as the first and second switch state combinations of the sequence. The second to the penultimate switch state combinations are all safe switch state combinations selected in advance, in each of which a maximum voltage borne by the switch devices in the bridge leg is clamped to a safe limit value.

    Abstract: A method for diagnosing a fault mode in a system includes recording a hierarchical precedence rule assigning a priority level to fault modes of the system, and recording, in a fault report matrix, fault reports indicative of a corresponding one or more of the fault modes. The method also includes using the hierarchical precedence rule to determine the assigned relative priority level for the fault reports in response to a predetermined condition, e.g., a requested engine starting event, and identifying a root cause subsystem as a subsystem having the highest assigned priority level. A control action executed via the controller identifies the root cause subsystem by recording a diagnostic code and/or transmitting a message. The system is also disclosed, as is a computer-readable medium programmed with instructions embodying the method.

A user then engages in a first natural-language conversation. As part of this first natural-language conversation, a communication is generated by the chat bot to prompt the user to specify an aspect of a category that is a subject of a first natural-language conversation and user data is received in response. Data that describes this first natural-language conversation is used to train a model using machine learning. Data, is then be received by the chat bot as part of a second natural-language conversation. This data, from the second natural-language conversation, is processed using the model as part of machine learning to generate the second search query to include the aspect of the category automatically and without user intervention.

The virtual touchscreen may be monitored by a sensor system looking edgewise from a housing of the mobile device employing as few as two displaced photodetectors and a correspondingly oriented light source constrained to sensitivity within a narrow fan-shaped light-sensing plane. Extraction of the spatial location of a finger touch within this touchscreen area may be performed by a model of reflected light signals of a finger in different locations calibrated to environmental parameters of finger reflectivity and background reflectivity by a simple calibration process.
