  • Patent number: 5368150
Abstract: A pallet exchange apparatus has a bed and an arm assembly supported on the bed to be rotatable between a workpiece loading-and-unloading station and workpiece machining station. A pair of cylindrical holes are formed at both ends of the arm assembly for receiving the pallets. The apparatus is further provided with driving means for rotating the arm assembly, a turntable rotatably mounted on the bed at a position corresponding to the workpiece machining station, first engagement portions formed at the ends of the arm assembly, second engagement portions formed on the pallets so as to be engaged with the first engagement portions for preventing the rotation of the pallets, and a moving device disposed on the turntable for moving the pallet located at the workpiece machining station in the vertical direction. When the pallet is lowered by the moving device, the pallet is separated from the turntable and the second engagement portion of the pallet is engaged with the first engagement portion.

  • Patent number: 5330168
Abstract: A clamping device which holds a workpiece at a predetermined position during a machining operation of the workpiece comprises a clamper for clamping a workpiece, a feed device for moving the clamper in the axial direction, a load sensor which is fixed to the clamper and detects a clamping force acting on the workpiece, and a memory in which a target clamping force corresponding to the shape of the workpiece and a method of machining operation is stored. The control device compares the clamping force detected by the load sensor with the target clamping force stored in the memory and controls the clamper in response to the deviation between the detected clamping force and the target clamping force. The clamping device also has a position detecting means for detecting the axial position of the clamper.

  • Patent number: 5192902
Abstract: A controller for properly controlling a rotating speed and a rotational phase of a DC servo motor. A velocity correction signal is obtained by comparing a rotation signal detected from the motor rotating at a predetermined rotating speed, and a phase error signal is detected from the rotation detected signal as well. Both the rotating velocity and phase of the motor are corrected by the controller supplying a signal which is a mix of the velocity error signal and the phase error signal.

  • Patent number: 5029234
Abstract: A system and method for communicating a vehicle with a calling party are disclosed in which even when a communication circuit is interrupted during a data communication of the system with the calling party such as a base station due to a worse circuit condition, the calling from the system to the calling party is carried out without operation of a switch for activating the system to start calling so that the communication with the calling party is restarted. The communication data includes a vehicle identification code (ID information) and/or instantaneous position of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4881614
Abstract: A motorcycle exhaust pipe arrangement includes a frame having a head pipe, a main pipe, a down tube, at least one under pipe and a pair of center pipes. A fuel tank is operatively connected to the main pipe. An engine is mounted on the at least one under pipe and is disposed beneath the fuel tank. A seat is mounted adjacent said fuel tank and is disposed above the engine. A rear shock absorber is operatively mounted between the seat and the at least one under pipe for absorbing shock supplied to the seat. The rear shock absorber is centrally disposed relative to a longitudinal axis of the motorcycle. An exhaust pipe is connected to the engine and extends rearwardly therefrom, the exhaust pipe is disposed substantially at a midpoint of the rear shock absorber and extends substantially horizontally therefrom in the longitudinal direction of the motorcycle for lowering the center of gravity of the motorcycle and providing a symmetrical rigid frame for supporting the engine, fuel tank and seat.
