    Abstract: A method of measuring hematocrit (HCT) and a measurement device using in the method and depends on an electrode test specimen to create a capacitor charging effect and consequential change in discharge current for measurement of hematocrit. The method of measuring hematocrit comprises steps as follows: (a) Instill blood into a pair of test electrodes which is installed in the present invention and apply a voltage to the pair of test electrodes; (b) Remove the voltage applied to the pair of test electrodes and measure a discharge current value; (c) Refer to a predetermined decision rule and the discharge current to obtain a hematocrit value for blood. As such, the present invention which relies on an electrode test specimen in measurement of hematocrit corresponding to a discharge current value during electric discharge contributes to precision and reliability in contrast to conventional hematocrit tests.

    Abstract: An aerosol liposome of a marine extract and a method of producing the same are introduced. The marine extract is extracted from cell membranes of marine processing streams, including phosphatidylserine (PS), phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), phosphatidylinositol (PI), and lysophosphatidylcholine (LysoPC), further including at least phosphatidylserine (PS). The aerosol liposome is of a particle diameter of less than 2,000 nm. The surface of the aerosol liposome carries phosphatidylserine (PS) molecules. The aerosol liposome of a marine extract, thus provided, is simple and stable and can be absorbed through the mouth, nose, upper respiratory tract, and epidermis and engulfed by macrophages therein to quickly alleviate or regulate systematic inflammatory responses and prevent inflammation-related diseases.

    Abstract: A flexible printed circuit board reel device, which includes a left housing, a right housing, a rotary sleeve, an upper spiral spring and a lower spiral spring. The left housing and the right housing of the reel device are caught on each other to form a housing, and the left housing and the right housing are firmly and closely fixed with each other, which can increase the connection area, whereby the left and right housings are not easily separated from each other, and the housing can have a strong structure. The upper spiral spring, the lower spiral spring, an upper central shaft and a lower central shaft of the reel device form a symmetrical and balanced double-spring structure; when a flexible printed circuit board is reeled or unreeled, the force generated by the springs is evenly distributed over the upper portion and the lower portion of the rotary sleeve.

    Abstract: A universal reel device includes an upper cover and a lower cover fastened together, a spool, a spiral spring and a safety switch for locking the spool. The spool has a bottom layer, a middle layer and a top layer. The middle layer is an annular cable distributing disk having a cable hooking slot. A bottom portion of the bottom layer is formed with a planar track and a U-shaped movable tongue for positioning is disposed between the bottom layer and the lower cover. The universal reel device can reel in various cable products, and may also be combined with a cable to form a single-pull or dual-pull reel. In use, a safety switch is used to lock the spool. The spool cannot rotate until the user unlocks the safety switch so that the high safety feature is obtained.

    Abstract: A downward pressing mesh mechanism and sinker thereof for flat knitting machines in which the downward pressing mesh mechanism includes a needle seat containing a bearing surface to hold a plurality of sinkers and knitting needles separated by spacers and a cam holder located above the sinkers to hold a cam. The cam has a guide track to drive the sinkers swinging. The spacers are vertically run through by a bracing shaft at a lower side. Each sinker includes a yarn pressing portion to press a yarn to form a mesh, a swing guide portion driven by the guide track and a shaft rotating recess to couple with the bracing shaft. The sinker thus structured is simpler and durable, hence can be produced and assembled, or repaired and replaced easier and faster. Thus manpower and material costs can be reduced, and product prices also are decreased to meet market requirements.

    Abstract: A method of polishing a metal layer comprising the following steps. A structure having an upper patterned dielectric layer with an opening therein is provided. A barrier layer is formed over the patterned upper dielectric layer and lining the opening. A metal layer is formed over the barrier layer, filling the opening. A first polish step employing a first slurry composition is conducted to remove a portion of the overlying metal layer. A second polish step employing the first slurry composition is conducted to: polish the partially removed overlying metal layer; and to expose portions of the barrier layer overlying the patterned upper dielectric layer. A third polish step employing a second slurry composition is conducted to remove the exposed barrier layer portions and exposing underlying portions of the patterned upper dielectric layer. A fourth polish step employing the second slurry composition and BTA is conducted to buff the exposed upper dielectric layer portions.
