  • Publication number: 20250150316
Abstract: A computer-readable storage medium stores instructions to configure one or more processors of a Further Reduced Capacity (F-RedCap) UE for operation in a 5G NR network, and to cause the F-RedCap UE to perform operations including decoding a PBCH to obtain a numerology parameter. A maximum resource block (RB) allocation is determined for a bandwidth associated with the numerology parameter. The maximum RB allocation is adjusted based on a reduced bandwidth associated with the F-RedCap UE to obtain an adjusted RB allocation. A maximum data rate is determined based on the numerology parameter and the adjusted RB allocation. Data is encoded for an uplink (UE) transmission to a base station. The UE transmission uses the maximum data rate.

  • Publication number: 20250142566
Abstract: A UE configured for operating in a 5G NR network may decode signalling that schedules two physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs) in a same time slot. When the UE is a reduced-bandwidth (RBW) reduced-capacity (RedCap) UE (RBW-RedCap UE), the UE may determine if a total number of allocated PRBs in an OFDM symbol for the two scheduled PDSCHs exceed a predetermined value when the two scheduled PDSCHs either partially or fully overlap in time in non-overlapping PRBs. The UE may also prioritize decoding of one of the two scheduled PDSCHs when the total number of allocated PRBs exceed the predetermined value and when the two scheduled PDSCHs either partially or fully overlap in time in non-overlapping PRBs. If a first of the two scheduled PDSCHs is a unicast PDSCH and a second of the two scheduled PDSCHs is a broadcast PDSCH, the UE may prioritize decoding of the unicast PDSCH.

  • Patent number: 12261671
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for multiplexing of PUCCH for beam failure recovery and other signals. A UE may determine a transmission dropping rule and a transmission power scaling rule for a PUCCH which is dedicatedly configured for secondary BFR transmission, such as a PUCCH-BFR, when it is multiplexed with at least one other signal. The PUCCH-BFR and the at least one other signal may be multiplexed in a CC or in multiple CCs. The UE may determine a transmission dropping rule, e.g., so that UE can transmit an uplink signals with higher priority and drop the other uplink signal with lower priority to avoid beam collisions. The UE may determine a transmission power scaling rule, e.g., so the UE may scale transmission power within a CC and/or across CCs. The UE may multiplex the PUCCH-BFR with the at least one other signal according to the rules.

  • Publication number: 20250056598
Abstract: An apparatus and system of providing a listen before talk (LBT) procedure in multi-carrier or multi-beam mode above a 52.6 GHz band are described. The LBT procedure is performed independently for each carrier or beam to maintain and update a different back-off counter for each carrier or beam. To align a transmission starting time across the carriers or beams, for each carrier or beam: the counter continues to decrement if the counter has reached zero before the starting time and transmit at the starting time if the channel continues to be sensed idle for an additional observation period immediately prior to the starting time and otherwise considers the LBT procedure to have failed. The counter is reinitialized for carriers or beams for which a channel occupancy time (COT) is to be acquired and transmission ceases.
