Abstract: A downlink scheduling data monitoring method, a downlink scheduling data sending method, and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: starting a timer; and after it is determined that the timer expires, monitoring, by using a first discontinuous reception DRX monitoring cycle, downlink scheduling data sent by a base station, where duration of the first DRX monitoring cycle is in a unit of minute or hour. After it is determined that the timer expires, the downlink scheduling data is monitored by using the first DRX monitoring cycle whose duration is in a unit of minute or hour. In this way, not only power consumption is reduced, but also the downlink scheduling data can be monitored.

Abstract: This application relates to the field of communications technologies, and provides example positioning assistance data sending methods, systems, and devices. One example solution includes receiving, by a positioning server, at least one positioning request sent by a core network device, where the positioning request includes an identifier of user equipment (UE) and an identifier of a serving cell of the UE. The positioning server can then send at least one piece of positioning assistance data to a base station based on the at least one positioning request.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a cell selection and reselection method and apparatus, so as to resolve a problem existing in the prior art that repeated reception of data by using an existing cell selection and reselection method causes a waste of resources and an increase in power consumption. Abstract: A multicast bearer management method includes: in a process of receiving service data of a single cell-multimedia broadcast multicast service traffic channel SC-MTCH, suspending a single cell-multimedia broadcast multicast service point to multipoint radio bearer SC-MRB corresponding to the SC-MTCH when there is a first type of data to be received; and when reception of the first type of data is completed, restoring or releasing the SC-MRB based on a temporary mobile group identity TMGI and/or a session identity corresponding to the SC-MRB. The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention can prevent frequent release and establishment of SC-MRBs, thereby saving network resources and power of a terminal device.

The method for mobility management between cell sets simplifies mobility management in multi-cell communication and improves performance of the communication system.
