A dielectric layer is formed using a ceramic material having a high capacitance, thereby assuring that the capacitors each have a high dielectric constant corresponding to the capacitance of a decoupling chip capacitor.

Abstract: A flat display panel comprising exhaust holes in a display region is provided. In the flat display panel, a front substrate comprising X and Y electrodes a rear substrate comprising an address electrode are sealed at a predetermined interval in parallel. Vacuum exhaust and gas discharge are performed on a space between the sealed substrates through the exhaust holes in the display area, thereby reducing a non-radiation area of the panel to less than 1 mm. As a result, the flat display panel is effective in formation of an indefinite extension multi-PDP because a seam between the panels is removed when a multi-PDP comprising a plurality of panels is formed.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and an information recording medium for storing and reproducing an interactive service capable of efficiently storing and processing interactive signaling information are provided. The information recording medium has recorded thereon interactive signaling information of a digital broadcast and includes a first region storing information on a time when the interactive signaling information occurs, a second region storing a type of the interactive signaling information and identification information; and a third region storing signaling items of the interactive signaling information. In the method and apparatus, filtering and monitoring using hardware or software to acquire interactive signaling information on a service stream for reproducing an interactive service is unnecessary because the signaling information is separately stored.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for recovering lost voice packets are provided, in which a packet loss detector determines whether a received packet has been lost, packet information storage stores voice information of previous voice packets and voice information of the received voice packet, a packet error corrector measures the voice information of the received voice packet, stores the measured voice information in the packet information storage, corrects the voice information when necessary, and generates a corrected voice packet, if the received voice packet is normal, and a packet loss recoverer recovers the voice information of the received voice packet using the voice information of previous voice packets stored in the packet information storage and generates a recovered voice packet, if the received voice packet has been lost.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of producing a printed circuit board (PCB) with an embedded resistor, in which a resistor with a desired shape and volume is precisely formed using a resistor paste so that resistance values according to a position of the PCB are uniform, thereby a laser trimming process is omitted or minimally utilized. The method has advantages in that a production time of the PCB is shortened and productivity is improved because an operation condition is rapidly set without being greatly affected by the position precision of a printing device. Other advantages of the method are that the resistor paste with a relatively uniform thickness is secured through a screen printing process, thereby easily forming the resistor and improving resistance tolerance.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a dispersant for manufacturing vinyl chloride resin and a method of manufacturing vinyl chloride resin using the same. More precisely, this invention relates to a dispersant which is prepared by RAFT, harbors a hydrophobic group and one or more hydrophilic groups not containing a hydroxy group, and has a polydispersity index of 1.1-2, and a method of manufacturing vinyl chloride resin using the said dispersant. The dispersant for manufacturing vinyl chloride resin of the present invention and the manufacturing method of the present invention facilitates the preparation of vinyl chloride resin characterized by even size distribution, excellent sphericity and proper particle diameter.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for creating a MultiPhotoVideo or MusicPhotoVideo (MPV) file that enables minimization of resources and/or storage capacity required to use the MPV file in a multimedia application environment, and a storage medium having recorded thereon a computer readable program for performing the method. The method includes: generating profilebag elements based on multimedia content; generating unique identification information of assets included in the multimedia content; generating a last uniform resource locator (LastURL) based on universal resource identifiers (URIs) of the assets included in the multimedia content; and creating an MPV file corresponding to the multimedia content using the profilebag elements, the unique identification information of the assets, and the LastURL. Accordingly, the MPV file, which is available to multimedia reproducing devices having limited resources and/or storage capacity, can be provided.

In the panel, an upper substrate and a lower substrate are opposed to each other with having a plurality of discharge cells therebetween. A first upper electrode group includes at least one electrode having a desired width and is formed on the upper substrate. A second upper electrode group includes at least one electrode having a different width from the first upper electrode group and is formed on the upper substrate in such a manner to be adjacent to the first upper electrode group. A data electrode is provided on the lower substrate in such a manner to be perpendicular to the first and second upper electrode group. In the method and apparatus, a short-path discharge occurs between two electrodes spaced at a small distance from each other, of electrodes included in the first and second upper electrode groups.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for transmitting audio signals in such a manner that audio signals transmitted and received in a mobile telephone network are preprocessed before being inputted to a voice encoder are provided. The audio signals are preprocessed by using an optimal filter gain based on error signals obtained when the audio signals are preprocessed and outputted by the voice encoder and the synthesizer. Therefore, the sound quality of the audio signals is hardly degraded by the voice encoder.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating a LastURI (uniform resource identifier) of a content asset in order to share the content asset based on a multiphoto video (MPV) file in content recorders and/or reproducers having different file systems, and a recording medium storing program for executing the method are provided. The method creates one of an absolute LastURI and a relative LastURI as the LastURI of the content asset according to protocol type information, so that content recorders and/or reproducers using different file systems can easily find and share the content asset based on the MPV file.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for backing up broadcast files are provided. The apparatus includes a received file information analysis unit which analyzes package information included in a metadata file received from the digital broadcast apparatus and extracts storage location information and/or file name information regarding a broadcast file corresponding to the metadata file from the package information; a file request unit which transmits a message to the digital broadcast apparatus requesting the broadcast data file obtained by the received file information analysis unit; and a storage unit which receives the broadcast data file from the digital broadcast apparatus and stores the broadcast data file together with the metadata file in response to the message. Accordingly, it is possible to back up broadcast data files on a storage medium with a large storage capacity by referencing respective corresponding metadata files that are packaged together with the broadcast data files.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for managing time information of broadcast streams are provided. The method includes: extracting time information from each of the respective input broadcast streams; setting the time information, extracted from an input broadcast stream that has been set in advance as a reference broadcast stream, as reference time information; and calculating time information for each of the respective input broadcast streams by comparing the time information of each of the respective input broadcast streams with the reference time information. Accordingly, it is possible to minimize various errors caused by errors among time information extracted from the respective broadcast streams when executing a time-dependent application program, such as a time recording program.

Abstract: A printed circuit board with embedded electronic components and fabrication method thereof are disclosed. The printed circuit board with embedded electronic components having outer electrodes comprising a substrate on which insertion holes are formed for containing the electronic components, a filler for filling the gap between the electronic component and the insertion hole to secure the electronic components, and attachment layers laminated onto the substrate in contact with the electrodes, with circuits formed on the attachment layers, may provide superior electrical reliability, as the outer electrodes of the electronic components are in contact with the attachment layers, and may reduce fabrication cost and time, as it is not necessary to form via holes.

Abstract: An image sensor with a high dynamic range is provided. The image sensor includes a semiconductor substrate, a plurality of light-receiving elements formed on the semiconductor substrate, and light-shield films formed on upper ends of some of the light-receiving elements to partially block light incident upon each of the some light-receiving elements. Hence, an image sensing device including the image sensor can detect an accurate image regardless of whether the environment is bright or dark.
