Abstract: A method comprises supplying a dopant gas in an arc chamber of an ion source. A dilutant is supplied to dilute the dopant gas. The dilutant comprises about 98.5 wt. % xenon and about 1.5 wt. % hydrogen. An ion beam is generated from the diluted dopant gas using the ion source.

Abstract: Disclosed are an optical image modulator, an optical apparatus including the same, and methods of manufacturing and operating the optical image modulator. The optical image modulator includes a light amount increasing unit increasing the amount of forward light emission of an electric-optical unit. The light amount increasing unit includes a first reflector reflecting light, which travels from the inside of the electric-optical unit toward the optical-electric unit, to the electric-optical unit. The light amount increasing unit may further include a second light reflector reflecting light, which passes through the optical-electric unit without optical-electric conversion, to the optical-electric unit.

Abstract: A variety of methods, devices, systems and arrangements are implemented involving nanowire meshes. One such method is implemented to include synthesizing metal nanowires in a solution containing a structure-directing agent. The metal nanowires are deposited on a substrate to form a sheet of nanowires. The deposited metal nanowires are heated to a temperature less than about 200 degrees Celsius and for a period of time of about 10 minutes to 60 minutes, thereby removing the structure-directing agent and modifying the electrical conductivity and optical transmittance of the sheet of nanowires.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention are generally directed to a method and apparatus for providing different bit set modes for a resistive sense memory (RSM) array, such as a spin-torque transfer random access memory (STRAM) or resistive random access memory (RRAM) array. In accordance with some embodiments, a group of RSM cells in a non-volatile semiconductor memory array is identified for application of a bit set operation. A bit set value is selected from a plurality of bit set values each separately writable to the RSM cells to place said cells in a selected resistive state. The selected bit set value is thereafter written to at least a portion of the RSM cells in the identified group.

Abstract: A method of generating MAC header and a method of transmitting data using the generated MAC header are disclosed. A mobile station can receive a message from a base station, the message including an indicator for identifying a service flow (SF). If the mobile station is connected with the base station to generate the service flow, the mobile station and the base station can map the service flow with the indicator. Accordingly, the base station can generate MAC header, which includes the indicator and a parameter representing whether the MAC header has been compressed.

Abstract: An apparatus for processing a video signal and method thereof are disclosed, by which duplication of inter-view pictures is eliminated to decode the video signal, by which a global motion vector of a current picture is generated based on relevance between inter-view pictures to decode the video signal, and by which motion information for a current picture is obtained based on relevance between inter-view pictures to perform motion compensation. The present invention includes extracting attribute information for a current block or attribute information for a current picture from the video signal, extracting motion skip information for the current block, and generating motion information for the current block using motion information for a reference block according to the attribute information and the motion skip information.

Abstract: A resistive sense memory apparatus includes a bipolar select device having a semiconductor substrate and a plurality of transistors disposed in the semiconductor substrate and forming a row or transistors. Each transistor includes an emitter contact and a collector contact. Each collector contact is electrically isolated from each other and each emitter contact is electrically isolated from each other. A gate contact extends along a channel region between the emitter contact and a collector contact. A base contact is disposed within the semiconductor substrate such that the emitter contact and a collector contact is between the gate contact and the base contact. A resistive sense memory cells is electrically coupled to each collector contact or emitter contact and a bit line.

In some embodiments, a first interface is engaged by a host. A memory device that has a plurality of memory cells comprised of at least a magnetic tunneling junction and a spin polarizing magnetic material is connected to a second interface. A status register is maintained by logging at least an error or busy signal during data transfer operations through the first and second interfaces.

The image forming apparatus may include an input for receiving an AC voltage, a detector that outputs a DC voltage corresponding to a level of the AC voltage input, a fuser operable to produce heat according to the AC voltage input, a storage in which fusing temperature control information and a controller that controls the fuser using the fusing temperature control information corresponding to the DC voltage.

Abstract: A method for automatically opening a file associated with a predetermined condition is provided. The file is matched with the predetermined condition. Information related to the predetermined condition, such as temperature, light intensity, and sound intensity is detected. The detected information is sent to a processing module. The processing module monitors the detected information to determine whether the predetermined condition is satisfied and sends an instruction to an executing module to open the file when the predetermined condition is satisfied. A system for automatically opening the file associated with the predetermined condition is also disclosed.

Abstract: An ionizer and an air conditioning system for automotive vehicles using the same are provided to reduce generation of positive ions detrimental to the human body to the greatest possible degree. The air conditioning system includes an air conditioning case, an evaporator for cooling an air blown through an internal passageway of the air conditioning case, and an ionizer including a negative ion discharge electrode and a positive ion discharge electrode for emitting negative ions and positive ions toward the evaporator. The electrodes are arranged on an upstream side of the evaporator in a spaced-apart relationship with each other. The positive ion discharge electrode has an ion generation portion formed in a smaller number than the number of an ion generation portion of the negative ion discharge electrode so that the quantity of positive ions generated in the positive ion discharge electrode can be smaller than the quantity of negative ions generated in the negative ion discharge electrode.

Each dialog presentation segment contains at least one region of dialog text, where each region of dialog text is linked to a selected one of the group of region styles defined in the dialog style segment. A text subtitle decoder reads a palette update flag included in each dialog presentation segment and presents each dialog presentation segment according to an indication of the palette update flag. The palette update flag indicates whether to use the palette information defined in the dialog style segment or to use new palette information when presenting each dialog presentation segment.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to memory arrays with read reference voltage cells. In particular the present disclosure relates to variable resistive memory cell apparatus and arrays that include a high resistance state reference memory cell and a low resistance state reference memory cell that provides a reliable average reference voltage on chip to compare to a read voltage of a selected memory cell and determine if the selected memory cell is in the high resistance state or low resistance state. These memory arrays are particularly suitable for use with spin-transfer torque memory cells and resolves many systematic issues related to generation of a reliable reference voltage.
