The sleeve is longer than a depth of a least hole of the stepped hole. A cluster-based cooperative communication method of a mobile station includes receiving allocation of a resource of a weighted subband mapped to one of preset cooperative base station clusters, the selected cooperative base station cluster having a group including a serving base station of the mobile station and dominant interfering base stations found by channel estimation, and communicating with the serving base station in cooperation with the dominant interfering base stations.

Abstract: Provided is an apparatus for detecting bio materials and a method for detecting bio materials by using the apparatus. The apparatus includes a bio material reacting unit, an optical source unit, and a detecting unit. The bio material reacting unit includes bio sensing materials immobilized on gold nanoparticles. The optical source unit emits light toward the bio material reacting unit. The detecting unit measures variations of surface absorbance of the gold nanoparticles by detecting light transmitted through the bio material reacting unit before and after a bio material is bound to the bio sensing materials.

For trimming an unadjusted forward delay, delay is added to one of a feedback clock signal path and an input clock signal path and a feedback clock signal is provided from the feedback clock signal path and an input clock signal is provided from the input clock signal path for phase comparison. For trimming a duty cycle of first and second output clock signals, one of a first delayed input clock signal and a second delayed input clock signal is delayed. The first and second delayed input clock signals are complementary. The delayed clock signal and the other clock signal are provided as the first and second output clock signals.

Abstract: A method of performing random access in a broadband wireless access system is disclosed. The method includes performing first random access through at least one of a plurality of random access channels, receiving information about the number of access-failed channels among the plurality of random access channels from a base station, when the first random access fails, and performing second random access according to a probability value calculated based on the received information. The present invention increases utilization of random access channels and can effectively schedule an uplink bandwidth, thereby providing an efficient ranging method.

Abstract: The Field Testing Instrument (FTI) is designed for use in the regular maintenance and installation of airport Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI). The FTI is a self-contained and portable instrument that accurately measures the most important PAPI parameters, such as vertical aiming angle, transition angle, and light intensity. In addition to working with the current incandescent PAPIs, the FTI also measures parameters specific to the next generation LED PAPI. The FTI uses modern, efficient technology to reduce the life-cycle cost of approach lighting systems. The FTI improves on traditional PAPI testing methods by directly measuring the PAPI light beam focused to a target plate, as if seen from the pilot perspective. Due to significantly improvements in measurement accuracy and reliability, the FTI may supplement and even replace costly flight checks for PAPI maintenance with ground based operation.

Abstract: A post-editing apparatus for correcting translation errors, includes: a translation error search unit for estimating translation errors using an error-specific language model suitable for a type of error desired to be estimated from translation result obtained using a translation system, and determining an order of correction of the translation errors; and a corrected word candidate generator for sequentially generating error-corrected word candidates for respective estimated translation errors on a basis of analysis of an original text of the translation system. The post-editing apparatus further includes a corrected word selector for selecting a final corrected word from among the error-corrected word candidates by using the error-specific language model suitable for the type of error desired to be corrected, and incorporating the final corrected word in the translation result, thus correcting the translation errors.

The method for reformatting a recording medium includes the steps of: (a) reading a plurality of physical access control information of the recording medium in a plurality of recording units; and (b) performing an initialization process for each recording unit upon receiving a reformatting command associated with the plurality of recording units, wherein the initialization process is differently performed according to an attribute of information recorded in each recording unit. Therefore, the PAC area contained in a high-density optical disc can be efficiently reformatted.
