  • Patent number: 7729333
Abstract: In a method for selecting a transmission target terminal in a zero-forcing beamforming algorithm, information about a channel capacity of each terminal is received from all K terminals. A terminal with a largest channel capacity is selected as an initial transmission target terminal. A determination is made as to whether the number of currently selected terminals, i, is equal to the predefined number N. If the number of currently selected terminals, i, is different from the predefined number N, information about channel capacities of remaining terminals except previously selected transmission target terminals is received until i is equal to N and a terminal with a largest channel capacity is selected as a transmission target terminal.

  • Publication number: 20100128786
Abstract: For two or more versions of a video with different spatial, temporal or SNR resolution, scalability can be achieved by generating a base layer and an enhancement layer. When a version of a video is available that has higher color bit depth than can be displayed, a common solution is tone mapping. A more efficient compression method is proposed for the case where the two or more versions with different color bit depth use different color encoding. The present invention is based on joint inter-layer prediction among the available color channels. Thus, color bit depth scalability can also be used where the two or more versions with different color bit depth use different color encoding. In this case the inter-layer prediction is a joint prediction based on all color components. Prediction may also include color space conversion and gamma correction.

  • Publication number: 20100130818
Abstract: A capsule-type endoscope is disclosed. Information related to position and movement of the capsule-type endoscope inserted into a body are checked and a frame rate is controlled according to a digestive organ in which the capsule-type endoscope is located based upon the information, so as to capture every digestive organ inside the body by using one capsule-type endoscope. Also, the frame rate can be controlled according to a moving velocity in each digestive organ, thus to reduce unnecessary power consumption, resulting in a decrease of an operation time of the capsule-type endoscope having a limited battery capacity. In addition, an amount of captured images can be reduced by effectively obtaining images according to the moving velocity in each digestive organ and a time taken by a doctor for a medical examination can be shortened.
