Abstract: The present invention relates to a remote control of a portable terminal, and more particularly, to a method for remotely controlling functions of a portable terminal, and a system thereof. A method for remotely controlling a function of a portable terminal includes receiving a request for remote control of at least one function of the portable terminal, setting up the requested at least one function for remote control, determining whether an event corresponding to the set up function is generated and performing the set up function if the event is generated.

Abstract: A method for forming a dual damascene structure is disclosed. First a substrate is provided. There are an etching stop layer and an interlayer dielectric layer disposed on the substrate in order. The interlayer dielectric layer has a thickness A. Second, the interlayer dielectric layer is patterned to form a first opening. Later, a photo resist layer with a thickness B is formed on the interlayer dielectric layer. Then, the photo resist layer is patterned by a light source to construct a patterned photo resist layer. Later, the interlayer dielectric layer is again patterned by the patterned photo resist to pattern the interlayer dielectric layer to construct a second opening on the first opening by means of a light source and the photo resist layer so as to form a dual damascene structure. The light source has a periodic parameter C so that (A+B)/C?X/2, where X is an odd number.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for compensating for asymmetric write current in a non-volatile unit cell. The unit cell comprises a switching device and an asymmetric resistive sense element (RSE), such as an asymmetric resistive random access memory (RRAM) element or an asymmetric spin-torque transfer random access memory (STRAM) element. The RSE is physically oriented within the unit cell relative to the switching device such that a hard direction for programming the RSE is aligned with an easy direction of programming the unit cell, and an easy direction for programming the RSE is aligned with a hard direction for programming the unit cell.

A short wireless communication distance can be extended by switching to/from a directional antenna and an omni-directional antenna of the mobile terminal according to a user setting. The method of performing short range wireless communication in a mobile terminal including a directional first antenna, an omni-directional second antenna, and a switch unit for switching the first antenna and the second antenna includes: activating the first antenna and searching for connectable terminals, when a short range wireless communication function is activated; and forming a communication channel with the found terminal, if a connectable terminal is found after activating the first antenna.

Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) may be displayed on a display unit in an apparatus which may include a tactile sensor unit. When a contact by a user is detected at the tactile sensor unit, a control unit may receive a contact detection signal therefrom. Based on the contact detection signal, the control unit may determine a contact pattern and may then display the GUI corresponding to the contact pattern. The GUI may be displayed and modified depending on the location and pressure of contacts by a user's manipulating fingers. Therefore, a user can manipulate the apparatus without any inconvenience or accidental touches.

Abstract: Disclosed relates to an adaptive handover method in a heterogeneous network environment. Once a wireless device starts up, the invention collects estimation information for a channel environment and integrates with the wireless device's geographic information to decide two groups of recursive parameters and a channel theoretical signal model. The model and the first group of recursive parameters are used to execute recursive iteration for a signal strength decay theoretical value. The obtained actual signal strength decay value from channel estimation, second group of recursive parameters and the signal strength decay estimation value at previous iteration are used to execute channel-tracking recursive iteration for obtaining a signal strength decay tracking value. The current network status and the signal strength decay tracking value are used to predict and analyze system performance of heterogeneous networks. Based on the analyzed result, prediction time is also regulated.

Abstract: Rupestonic acid derivatives are rupestonic acid derivative A- or B-type compounds, prepared through a condensation reaction from starting materials, i.e., a monomer compound of rupestonic acid and an aromatic amine or fatty amine or an organic alcohol, i.e., a fatty alcohol or an aromatic alcohol. Rupestonic acid, which is the monomer compound of sesquiterpene isolated from the plant Xinjiang Artemisia rupestric L., is used as a mother compound. Natural anti-virus lead compound with high activity are discovered by modifying the structure of the monomer compound of rupestonic acid. Activity results of the lead compound showed pharmaceutical application of anti-I, II flu virus and anti-I, II herpes simplex virus infection. These compounds can be used alone or in combination with one or more pharmaceutical acceptable, inert and nontoxic excipients or carries in a pharmaceutical composition.
