Abstract: A complex type cleaner comprises: a body; a suction head arranged at a lower side of the body, for sucking dust at the time of performing a vacuum cleaning and sucking dirty water at the time of performing a water cleaning; a suction fan for generating a suction force so that dust and dirty water can be sucked into the suction head; a reservoir detachably mounted at the body and storing dust or dirty water; and a valve assembly for converting a cleaning mode into a vacuum cleaning mode or a water cleaning mode by selectively opening and closing passages connected among the suction head, the reservoir, and the suction fan. A vacuum cleaning function for sucking dust and a water cleaning function are implemented at one cleaner, thereby reducing the cost and facilitating the usage and the storage.

Abstract: Ventilator including a case having a first flow passage and a second flow passage therein, at least one fan in the case for supplying room air to a room through the first flow passage, and guiding outdoor air to the room through the second flow passage, and a heat exchanger in the case, the heat exchanger having a working fluid therein for repeating evaporation (heat absorption) and condensing (heat dissipation) by a temperature difference of the air flowing through the first flow passage and the second flow passage, for making the air flowing through the first flow passage and the air flowing through the second flow passage to heat exchange, thereby providing a ventilator which is thin, can be installed conveniently, and can recover a thermal energy from room air, and reduce a pressure loss and noise.

Abstract: A heated eyelash curler comprise a curling head portion having an arcuate top surface on one end and a protection case on the other end. The protection case serves as a handle and also encloses the power source. A heating element is laid on the arcuate top surface caged inside a plurality of bridges or protected between protruding comblike spikes. The curler includes a pigmented silicone piece which changes in color corresponding to the temperature of the heating element as indicator. The heating element comprises a conducting coil or wire in zigzag configuration inserted into a conducting tube. The circuitry includes a converter for boosting the voltage of the power source which hastens the rise in temperature of the heating element and this in combination with the heating element having the conducting coil or wire in zigzag configuration, provide a more stable and even heating.

Abstract: There are disclosed an apparatus and method for determining or changing a target ROT for a target cell according to measurement ROTs from its neighbor cells in Node B controlled scheduling for improving enhanced uplink dedicated channels in an asynchronous CDMA communication system. The present invention proposes novel signaling procedures for the purpose of determining or changing the target ROT for the target cell.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of treating insulin resistance or Syndrome X. The method includes the step of administering a therapeutically effective amount of a somatostatin or a somatostatin agonist to said patient. The invention also includes pharmaceutical compositions comprising a somatostatin or somatostatin agonist and the use of such products in the preparation of such compositions.

Abstract: An upright electrical connector for mounting on a PCB includes a bas portion, a first and second mating plate retained in the base portion, a number of first and second contacts held in the first and second mating plate, respectively, an inner shield mounted to the base portion to shield the first and second contacts and an outer shield mounted to the base portion to enclose the inner shield therein. The first and second mating plate includes a first and second tongue portion. The first and second contacts are supported in an inner surface of the first and second tongue portion. An arrangement of the first and a second tongue portions, the first and a second contacts, the inner shield and the outer shield are arranged to configured to a standard IEEE 1394B interface. The first and second tongue portion are perpendicular to the PCB.

Abstract: An interface card and a computer motherboard which are used in a horizontal adaptation include a motherboard on which is configured with at least two sets of first slots; and at least one interface card, a side of which is provided with at least two sets of adapting parts being correspondingly plugged into the aforementioned two sets of first slots, and one set of the adapting part on which is connected with a circuit of the interface card. By assembling the two sets of first slots on the motherboard correspondingly with the two sets of adapting parts on the interface card, the interface card can be firmly positioned on the motherboard. The adapting part is connected with the circuit of interface card and corresponding plugged into the first slot, such that the interface card can be electrically conducted with the motherboard thereby exchanging and processing messages.

Abstract: A signaling processing method for allocating a UATI (Unicast Access Terminal Identifier) to a given AT (Access Terminal) in a mobile communication system including ANs (Access Networks) each having an BS (Access Network Controller), for communicating by radio with ATs, and at least one DLR (Data Location Register) connected to BSs, for storing a plurality of UATIs, which can be allocated to the ATs, and managing the remaining UATIs that are not allocated. Upon receipt of a UATI Request message from the AT, the BS transmits a UATI Allocate Request message to the DLR. Upon receipt of the UATI Allocate Request message, the DLR allocates one of the remaining UATIs to the AT and transmits a UATI Allocate Response message including the allocated UATI to the BS. Upon receipt of the UATI Allocate Response message, the BS transmits a UATI Allocate message including the allocated UATI to the AT.

In an IP-based next generation mobile communication system, vocoder voice data between a media gateway and a base station controller is not concentrated into a particular vocoder resource but uniformly assigned to all vocoder resources, thereby contributing to efficient assignment of resources in the media gateway.

The mold frame includes a receiving unit provided with a predetermined receiving space therein, and a pair of lamp holders formed on a side of the receiving unit to hold a lamp. Abstract: A writing board device having a high-definition image display function is disclosed. The writing board device includes a main body, a screen device which has a glass panel provided at an upper front portion of the main body and an image forming part provided at a rear surface of the glass panel, the image forming part being formed in a thin film shape, a projector which is provided at a bottom of the main body, and a screen illumination device which is provided at rear of the screen device, the screen illumination device having a projection lens, a color filter and a lamp. Accordingly, the writing board device allows a user to write letters freely on the screen device while displaying the image with a higher definition by two times or more as compared with a conventional device. When the image display is not needed, the writing board device serves as a writing board capable of showing the written letters with a higher definition by two times or more as compared with a conventional device.

Abstract: Disclosed is a table type large-size imaging apparatus in which an imaging screen and a reflector are installed parallel to each other in front and rear end positions of a table type case with an inclination angle, to allow a viewer to watch an image formed on the screen through a transparent window provided at a top of the table type case. The viewer's watching distance and the image projection distance are overlapped within the table type case, to achieve a maximum screen size with a minimum table size. With this configuration, a viewer who is located close to the imaging apparatus in the form of a table is able to appreciate the vivid large-size image with a downward viewing angle.

Abstract: A fuel cell comprising single layer bipolar plates, water damming layers(WDL) and membrane electrode assembly (MEA) with gas diffusion layers(GDL) locally treated with water transferring materials, and integrating functions of gas humidification, membrane hydration, water removal and cell cooling is disclosed. This fuel cell is constructed with proton exchange membrane (PEM) and catalyst layers on both sides of PEM, with GDL, on top of catalyst layers, locally impregnated with water transferring materials, and single layer bipolar plates installed on both sides of GDL as cathode and anode.

Abstract: A beacon to measure a distance based on a time difference between a transmitted light and a reflected light and to put the measured distance information into the lights, and a positioning system to detect a position of a moving body using the beacon, and a method thereof. Since a relative position of the moving body with respect to the beacon is precisely detected and infrared laser having directionality is used as a light source, the moving body can travel in a wide working area.
